My Thoughts

The Mr. Coffee Coffeemaker & Hot Station is a must have for anyone who has ever encountered a hectic morning. And I'm guessing that's just about everyone out there. This machine does everything you'd expect from a great coffee maker. It has a built it clock and timer guaranteeing your coffee is piping hot and ready the minute you crawl out of bed.  Each pot comes out perfect no matter what brand of coffee you use.  Clean up is also a snap. The pot is machine washable and it doesn't even take up much room on the counter. But all of this is pretty standard for any Mr. Coffee Coffeemaker. Now let's talk a little about the amazing Hot Station.

The Hot Station is built right into the machine and can be used for dozens of  different things. In my house, the adults love a morning cup of coffee, but my teen daughter likes black tea and the younger kids enjoy a cup of hot chocolate on a cold winter morning. With the hot station, I don't have to struggle to find a pot or wait for water to boil. The built in reservoir heats water on the spot, allowing me to  make just about any hot drink they could want. But I can also make instant oatmeal, noodles for lunch or even take my coffee on the go. The hot station adds a whole new level of convenience to my morning and really my whole day!

My Thoughts


This coffee maker is awesome! It has so many amazing features. First, I'm excited to have a coffee pot that goes off on a timer. It was really easy to set, and it's great to have your coffee waiting as soon as you get up in the morning. Because sometimes it's hard to make a cup of coffee before you've had a cup of coffee. But that is only the beginning of the perks with this coffee maker. I really love the brewing pause and serve option. My husband is notorious for yanking the coffee pot off the machine in the middle of brewing. Then I have coffee everywhere and, of course, he never cleans it up.

The special brewing process definitely makes a difference. I've noticed that my coffee has a fuller, more robust flavor, no matter what brand I use. But I think my favorite feature on this coffee pot is the metal carafe. When you leave the pot sitting on the warmer, it never tastes as good after the first cup. With this pot, the design keeps the pot warm for up to four hours, ensuring your coffee will taste like it was fresh brewed even hours after it was made.  AND you don't have to worry about breaking the pot. I can't tell you how many times I've broken my glass pots when I was rinsing them out. There are no worries about that with this carafe.

If you still aren't impressed,  there is more to love. The coffee filter basket is on the side, allowing for easy filling and removal. Clean up is also a breeze. Yet, none of  this would matter if you didn't have a great cup of coffee waiting for you at the end of the process. And guess what? You will. Ever single time you use this machine, you are pretty much guaranteed the perfect cup.  Taste will vary depending on the brand of coffee you use, but using the most common name brands, my coffee has been just the way I like it every morning--strong, warm, fresh and delicious. You simply can't go wrong with this coffee maker.

My Thoughts

 I am a huge coffee drinker. Its pretty much either coffee or water for me, but 99% of the time its coffee. There's a cup sitting beside me while I type up this review. Since I'm the only one in my house who drinks coffee 24/7, a one cup brewer has been on my wish list for quite some time, but the Kuerig brand simply wasn't in my price range. The Mr. Coffee Single Cup Brewing System is a more affordable option that uses the Keurig technology but doesn't cost a fortune. The result is a great cup of coffee every time at an affordable price. 

 The Mr. Coffee Single Cup Brewing System is lightweight and easy to use. It comes completely assembled and even includes a few trial K-cups to try out. The water reservoir allows you to fill it enough  to make a few cups and you have the option of 6 or 10 oz. Personally, I found the 10 oz was the perfect strength for an average K-cup. Once filled up, you simply stick your K-Cup in the slot, select your brew size, and you're ready to go. The brewing process takes only a few minutes and when its done you have a fresh tasting mug of coffee. This is a much better alternative to coffee that's been sitting on the warmer for hours. 

While I do love the individual K-cups, I know for me the cost of them was one of the things that deterred me from getting a machine. If this is a concern for you, it doesn't have to be. A found a great little gadget that allows me to use my own coffee in the one cup brewer. These mini filters can usually be found with the coffee accessories and it will allow you to take advantage of the great coffee this machine can brew at a fraction if the cost. Of course the K-cups offer the convenience of no clean up, but the option to choose is there. 

All in all, I love the Mr. Coffee Single Cup Brewing System. I found it offers the same quality I have come to expect from Mr. Coffee. Their coffee makers have been gracing my counter since my college days and they've never let me down yet. The Single Cup Brewer is the newest addition to the family and I'm happy to say it hasn't let me down.

 Java lovers don't have to spend a fortune to brew a great cup of coffee.  In a recent test of nearly 100 coffeemakers, Consumer Reports identified the Mr. Coffee® 12-cup Programmable Coffeemaker as a CR Best Buy saying it delivered “convenience and optimal brewing.”  In tests of conventional drip coffeemakers, which are best for serving a crowd  - think holiday entertaining - Consumer Reports “Recommended” the $40 brewer saying it matched the brewing performance of pricier models as it is “easy-to-use and clean, has a well-balanced carafe, and aced Consumer Reports' brew tests which are based on how closely models reach the industry-standard of 195ºF to 205ºF for roughly five minutes.”  The coffeemaker is available at Walmart.com.

But that is only the beginning of the perks with this coffee maker. I really love the brewing pause and serve option. My husband is notorious for yanking the coffee pot off the machine in the middle of brewing. Then I have coffee everywhere and, of course, he never cleans it up. Now we can pause the brewing process so he can grab his coffee without making a mess. But I have my faults too. I am really bad about remembering to turn off the coffee pot when I go out,which can be dangerous. This Mr. Coffee machine has an automatic shut off feature. After two hours, it switches off automatically.

If you still aren't impressed,  there is more to love. There is a brew strength selector that enables you to pick just how weak or strong you want your coffee to be. There's even a water filtration system that removes up to 97% of chlorine and I can really taste the difference when I use our tap water. Yet, none of  this would matter if you didn't have a great cup of coffee waiting for you at the end of the process. And guess what? You will. Ever single time you use this machine, you are pretty much guaranteed the perfect cup.  Taste will vary depending on the brand of coffee you use, but using the most common name brands, my coffee has been just the way I like it every morning--strong, warm, fresh and delicious. You simply can't go wrong with this coffee maker.
