My Thoughts:

I adore makeup, and any form of eye intensifying products are my weaknesses. My favorite thing to rock are long, luscious lashes. Since my eyes are my favorite thing to show off, I tend to go for dramatic looks. However, false lashes are not something enjoyable for me. I try to look for products that will mimic the appearance of them, without all the work. I found that the Divaderme line was a wonderful substitute! I've never applied fiber mascara before, so this was a new experience for me. In order to get the best results, Divaderme recommends a three step system. Firstly, apply a coat of the Fiber Wings II Mascara. Next, apply one coat of the Lash Extender II right after to ensure the mascara does not dry. If it drys, the fibers will not stick properly. Then, finish off with another coat of the mascara and you are good to go!

The Fiber Wings II Mascara brought out a significant amount of length and volume. The formula was thick, but went on evenly and it covered my lashes well. Applying the Lash Extender was a bit messy since you are coating your wet lashes with fibers. However, Divaderme recommends leaning over the sink and applying towards your mirror. Always remember that tapping the brush will help remove any excess fibers. Finish off the application by dusting the fibers off with your makeup brush if any have gotten onto your skin. The next coat of mascara will finish off the look. It did indeed lock in the fibers, while adding some extra length and intensity to my lashes. I was very happy overall! 

I have to say my look lasted all day. My mascara did not smudge or run. It was simple to remove with my makeup wipes and cleanser before bed. I was quite happy with my gorgeous lashes! I would certainly recommend giving Divaderme a try if you are on the market for a quality fiber mascara line of products. Not only do they work, but the ingredients and results will ensure a long lasting and healthy feel!

My Thoughts

The ColorShade SPF35 tinted sunsreen is the perfect way to keep your skin healthy despite the elements.  The cream goes on smoothly and does not leave behind any sticky residues. It leaves your skin feeling firm and taunt, but still moisturized and soft. Because it has SPF included, you don't have to worry about greasy sunblocks when you are heading out to the park with the kids. However, the thing that makes this lotion different than the rest, is that they added a slight tint. When you apply the lotion, it adds just a hint of color without making you look painted.  Its the perfect way to keep that healthy glow all year long. butter LONDON + Project Runway Jr. Mascara and Primer Review.

You only have one chance to make a first impression—and let’s just say, we are impressed! butter LONDON, the official makeup sponsor of Project Runway Junior® Season 2, has partnered with the talented teens and tweens of the hit reality show for the highly-anticipated season premiere. As part of their official makeup sponsorship, butter LONDON’s beauty room was featured in last night’s episode, where contestants worked with celebrity makeup artist Scott Patric to create one-of-a-kind looks to complement their designs on the runway.

The season debuted with a “First Impressions Challenge,” putting the up-and-coming designers to the test by asking them to create a look that represents their point of view. Whether they are inspired by their surroundings, their experience being chosen to compete on Project Runway Junior or something from within themselves, each of these talented young artists have something to share.

The winning look featured an array of butter LONDON products, including the award winning Glazen Eye Gloss, Double Decker Lashes Mascara and Plush Rush Lip Gloss. 

My Thoughts:

I love reality television about as much as I love makeup. I was very excited to give two products by butter LONDON a try, the Double Decker Lashes Mascara and the FitLash Primer, from the season premiere of Project Runway Jr. When they arrived I instantly was drawn to the cute packaging. Each had a nice pop of color. 

The next thing I examined was the wand. That is a big part of how much and how even an application of product is distributed. Both wands were a great size and well designed. The primer had soft bristles that coat the application evenly and softly to the lashes. The mascara wand had thicker bristles that grabbed each lash and lifted them up as if they were already curled. 

I began my test using the FitLast Primer first. The primer is there to help grab onto the mascara better and create even thicker, longer lashes. The primer did not clump and it instantly lifted my lashes upwards in only a couple swipes. My lashes are normally thin and fine, so I adore products that give them both length and volume. I try to go for a false lash look without actually having to use them. I was excited to see how the mascara would do after seeing how great my lashes looked already! 

Last but least was the Double Decker Lashes Mascara. I love this product! There have been many mascaras I have tried through the years, and this product is certainly in my top favorites. With just one application, my lashes were instantly defined, dark, long, and lush. I did not curl beforehand to show the full effect of what this mascara can do. It appeared almost like false lashes. I was extremely impressed! The application was not messy and it did not clump. The pictures below were taken right after the first and second coats without any brushing. If you love extra volume and intensity, try two coats.  

Not only do these products work hand in hand to create a signature lash look, they are long lasting! After application, the intensity of my lashes stayed put all night. I did not have any smudging or itching. No matter if I yawned or wore contacts, nothing moved. When you are ready to remove, I suggest using a makeup remover to get it off. Simple cleansing with a facial wash will not remove it completely. Make sure not to get any of the fibers in your eyes while washing, it will sting. 

I highly recommend both the FitLash Primer and the Double Decker Mascara for those looking for an intense eye product that will last through any activity you have planned for the day!

My Thoughts

I had the opportunity to try Makeup Academy a few months back and have found that I love their products. I was excited to give these three new items a try as well.

The first new product they released was the Lash Primer. You'll need your favorite mascara to go with this product. First, you apply the primer. I let it dry a moment then I added my mascara on top of it. For super bold eye, you can apply another layer of mascara after you let the first layer dry. I did see a difference when using it. My eyelashes seemed to pop more, making them more noticeable. I've tried some other mascaras that made my lashes longer and fuller, but they caused itchiness in my eyes as the day went on. This product didn't do that. So I was very pleased with it.

The second product I tried was the Under-Eye Illuiminator. This went on after your concealer or make up to kinda illuminate your eyes and hide imperfections. I had a hard time figuring this one out and how to use it. It helps hide dark circles and other blemishes on the face. This isn't my first time trying an illuiminator pen. But I did like this product and will continue to try and master the technique on how to use this.

The third product I tried was the Makeup Correcting Pen. Love this. Ever mess up your eyeliner and of course, your eyeshadow is perfect? This pen helps with that, almost like an eraser to help you fix your mess up. This is also great to get rid of eye shadow that might flake below your eyes and also around your lips when messing up your lips stick. Another thing I do often because I don't wear a lot of lipstick.

I really like these products. I also love the tips they give on the packaging as well as an experts Q&A about the product.

My Thoughts

It's been forever since I've worn any kind of bronzer or blush. I am usually a foundation and mascara kind of girl, but I was excited to glam it up a bit. The color of this was neutral for the most part. I didn't feel like after I put it on, I looked strange. It added some nice color to my cheek bones, giving me a sun kissed look, even in th winter.

I have found myself reaching for this  more when I put on  make-up because I did like the look it gave me. Being a bronzer, I was able to use this on other parts of my body. I have not done that yet, but I could see in the summer time adding some to the top of my chest to help hide bathing suit sun lines or to just give me more of a sun-bronzed glow.

The powder was light and I didn't need a lot, so I can see this product lasting awhile before needing to purchase more.

Bella means "pretty" in Italian, and you'll certainly feel this way after indulging int he goodies in this month's VoxBox. Everything inside can help you get in the mood for spring. 

The box included a nice selection of beauty products and a little something sweet to munch on. Here's a little about each of the products I tried.

The Ecotools Mattifying brush is the perfect way to apply your power or blush. The bristle are every soft and fluffy. I love the way if feels gliding along my cheeks. The handle is made from wood and the metal at the top is emblazoned with a beautiful flower design. It has a nice case with a teal pattern that matches the brush. It's very well made, so there's no fear of the bristles falling out or the brush detaching from the base.  Of course, what I like best about this product is that it's completely Eco-friendly.

The Kate Scandaleyes mascara s simply fantastic. My lashes have never had so much volume. The formula applies evenly and never clumps up. The curved brush allows are perfectly even coverage every time. Lashes look full and completely natural. This is probably the best mascara I've every tried.  There was also some fun lipstick from Rimmell as well.

Dove Whole Blueberries are a delicious fruity treat. These real blueberries are smothered in rich and creamy Dove milk chocolate. Now you an get a serving of fruit and  chocolate in one yummy package.

Get a tan that looks natural with Airbrush Legs. It rubs in like lotion but lives your skin with a sun-kissed glow.

My Thoughts

I hate having to dye my hair. Its annoying, messy, stinky, and takes way to much time. I usually only dye it every few months, and then its only to cover up the gray.  Even that was too much, but now, thanks to Rootstix, I can extend the time between colorings even longer.

 Rootstix is a simple way to cover your roots between colorings. Using it is really easy.  It looks sort of like a magic marker, and it works in much the same way. You simply swipe the pen along the areas that need color, brush it through, and like magic, the roots disappear. Other touch up products didn't work for me since I only have a few grays here and there. Usually the top of my head would look darker than the rest. With this, I can color just the areas where I need it.  It dries quickly and looks completely natural. The color holds up well throughout the day and lasted for several showers before it faded. 

In addition to using the Roostix on your hair, it can also be used to outline or fill in your brows. It helps give them a more even, polished look. I really loved this two-in-one product. It saves me time and helps keep my hair looking ts best. I can now go 4-6 months between colorings, so it also saves me time and money.
