Our Thoughts
We have (had) an older Graco (Travel System) stroller, which I bought used before my son was born - he's 5 1/2, so I think the stroller is about 7 years old.  While I love this stroller (especially the fabric print!!), it does better in some situations over others.  It is perfect for shopping trips, and walks on paved sidewalks or trails, but not so much for off-roading it, which isn't its intended use anyway!!  Now, this stroller hasn't seen much use in about a year since it suffered some damage during our last kitchen remodel - while the floor joists were open to the basement below, some heavy pieces of wood accidentally fell between the joists, hitting and damaging our stroller in the basement below. It's a  very sturdy stroller, so the only real damage was to the sunshade - but with my fair-skinned son, a sun-shade is a must! My son might be 5 1/2, but he is special needs with low muscle tone, so a stroller is a must since he doesn't walk far very fast. And now that summer is fast approaching, we're getting back outside.  Which means, all of this made me incredibly excited to try the new Graco FastAction Fold Jogger Click Connect Stroller!

We love to take walks through the state parks and a jogging stroller has increased maneuverability!  LOVE this!!  The bigger, air-filled wheels roll over uneven ground easier than small, hard plastic wheels.  And with the roomy storage compartment below, I can put all our needs for a day out in it - a cooler packed with food,  diaper bag, extra water bottles, and a blanket.  It features extra deep cup holders up top for Mom, so I don't have to reach down into the under-carriage compartment for my water bottle.  And a place for Mom's smartphone or MP3 player, with a little enclosed storage compartment underneath!

I love the sun shade on this stroller, as the sides are see-through, so my son can see more than just straight ahead as we walk (or jog!) along.  Reclining seat positions makes it easy for if he decides to take a nap!  I can even put the seat in a reclined position and change my son's diaper right in the stroller!

  • Since it rolls smoother over rough surfaces, this means I can go faster!  I'm not a jogger, but I do like to walk at a good fast pace.  The handle bar is a little higher on this one vs. the old one I had, so that combined the faster action means a better workout for my legs and I'm already feeling it!
  • Our other stroller, since I bought it used, was already assembled.  This one really was easy to assemble - just a few parts to snap in.  I had to have my husband put the kickstand in though, I couldn't manage to get that snapped in place.
  • Speaking of the kickstand, what a great feature!!  Now I can set the stroller up against the wall when not in use instead of having this big thing on the floor to trip over.
  • The front wheel can either be locked in place, or swivel.  The manual recommends locking it in place for rough surfaces such as grass or gravel, but I found it was easier for me to leave it on swivel all the time.
  • This stroller is also easier to push one-handed vs. my old one, which is a definite plus when the dog accompanies us on our walks.
  • It has a nice little strap/handle for pulling the stroller into the closed position.  It's also nice to use when pulling the closed stroller behind or next to me when putting it away.
  • Same as the old stroller, I don't always use it as a 5 pt harness, so when the shoulder straps are not in use, I just flip them up over the back and out of the way.

Loving his new ride!

Now, we don't have an infant, but should one come along, I plan to purchase another Graco infant carseat, which will fit right into this stroller.  Any Graco Click Connect Infant Car Seat will work with this stroller!  The Graco FastAction Fold Jogger Click Connect Stroller also fits children up to 50lbs, so it will be a long time before my son outgrows this stroller.

And I'll admit it - when I took the Graco FastAction Fold Jogger Click Connect Stroller out for its maiden voyage, I loved it SO MUCH I immediately gave away our old Travel System stroller to a new home. ;-)

Our Thoughts

There are a lot of great features about this products, I'll just start down the list!

First, it was incredibly easy to put together. I had my husband do it, but after watching him I realized how simple it was and that I could have easily done it myself. He barely glanced at the directions either, it was pretty self explanatory (then again building things seems to be that way for a lot of men haha). Total time it took him to put it all together was about 5-7 minutes. I tried to time it. There is nothing we had to put together for the carseat, that came out of the box already for use except for adjusting straps to baby!

After we put the stroller together we stood back to look at our fancy work, only to realize we had no idea how the carseat was supposed to attach. With my previous stroller you put the infant car seat on top of the stroller. This added a lot of weight, and made it hard for me to see over (I'm barely 5ft tall), and maneuver. After a quick glance at the picture on the outside of the box all hubby had to do was un-click the toddler seat from the stroller and pop the carseat on in it's place. In it's place! It was honestly as simple as that, I laughed I was so amazed.

Something else I want to do with this stroller is be able to go on a walk or light jog after baby arrives and I rest. We live in the Ozarks and there are rocks everywhere! Before I mentioned to my husband that this stroller should provide easy maneuverability I watched him push it across the yard and he commented on how well it he could push it in our yard and that I'd have an easy time taking walks with baby. Score!

My favorite feature about the Graco stroller is that when you are using the carseat/infant part of it the baby faces towards you! With my last stroller the baby faced out and I had that little plastic screen to look through (constantly) to check on baby or make sure the sun wasn't in baby's eyes. Very annoying. Here I can look right at baby to make sure he or she is just fine. I cannot wait to use this stroller.

This stroller also holds up to 50lbs. One good thing about being short is that you have short kids who don't weigh a lot. Not even my almost 8 year old weighs 50lbs. So if I'm having a particularly rough day during and outing one of my two daughters fall asleep I could easily plop them in the stroller and carry baby in a wrap. Very functional all around!

Another awesome feature is that when you fold the stoller up, it stands on it's own! You don't have to awkwardly lean it against any furniture or walls and worry about it falling over or smashing a kid walking by. The stroller has it's own "legs" to stand on when you fold it up, such a life saver! Everything that annoyed me about my last stroller this Graco stroller has solved.

In regards to the car seat, it is extremely safe which is most important when it comes to our children. The base is simple to put in the car and the carseat latches quickly and releases with a simple hand squeeze of the red trigger. I don't foresee any battles in my future of car seat & base vs. mom. Another simple, yet very lovely feature that will help moms keep their wits about them.

I love this stroller and car seat combo, it's lightweight, easy to move and pickup, easy to pack up, easy to change from infant to toddler, looks great, material is soft. All I need now is baby to put in it!
