My Thoughts

 If you have used those neck towels that you wet and put around your neck when it is hot, this is the same idea. I live in Virginia, and it can get HOT here. These capes are perfect for when you are going to a zoo or amusement park. All you have to do is wet it in the sink before you leave. Put it in the pouch, and go. If it gets hot you take it out, ring it out a little and let your child wear it. If it gets dry or not cooling enough anymore, you rewet it. It can be machine washed, and reused over and over. We went to Disney World for a particularly hot week. This may have saved us. My kid likes it too because he feels like a superhero.
There are plenty of ways to customize them. In my son's size they had six colors to choose from, and six thread colors to choose from, 20 different sayings that can be embroidered on it. You can also have it plain, and you have to decide if you want a hood or not. You do not have to wet them before you leave the house, any bathroom sink or water fountain can get the trick done as well. These are a NECESSITY when you are going anywhere outdoors in the heat. A fair, concert, amusement park, zoo, festival, beach, etc. They are almost a safety precaution as well. The heat when we were in Disney was dangerous. We had to make sure we stayed hydrated and had our cooling towels. It can get scary.

Reduce Your Child's Risk of Skin Cancer with Coolibar

With spring in full swing, nothing beats getting outside to participate in your favorite sport or outdoor activity. ·      A wide-brim hat is a must for golfers, walkers and spectators and provides extra coverage to the neck and shoulders, areas that often get more sun exposure. Every inch of hat brim can lower your lifetime risk of skin cancer by 10%. For runners, choose lightweight hats that cover the top of the head and neck.

·      When possible, avoid outdoor activity between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., when the sun¹s UV radiation is most intense.

·      Keep sunscreen and a hat in your sports/gym bag so they are always available. Use a golf umbrella for shade when walking or waiting.

·      Remember to reapply your sunscreen every every two hours, or more often if sweating or swimming. Use sport sunscreen so it doesn¹t run and irritate your eyes. 

·      Wear sunglasses. In addition to protecting eyes from UV exposure, another cancer risk, the right sunglasses offer impact protection, and reduce reflection on the road, field or course.

My Thoughts

 

Before we know it, summer will be here. For me, that means endless summer days at the beach with my children. It also means endless hours of applying sunblock to help keep them protected from the harmful rays of the sun. Children's Spring Fashion at Kohl's #SpringWithKohls #sponsored

 

After a long, cold winter, I'm ready to break out my sandals and get ready for Spring, starting with a wardrobe makeover. This year, Kohl's is on top of all the latest fashion trends.  My Thoughts

I live in the Victorian town of Cape May. Since more often than not, there are period actors traipsing the boardwalk in vintage style clothing, I knew my daughter would fit right in wearing the beautiful Sugary Sweetness Swimwear from Chichanella Bella. This gorgeous style brings you right back to the days when you had to have your swimsuit measured before you stepped on the beach. You wouldn't want to show too much knee!

 The Chichanella Bella swimsuit is beautifully designed and very well made. The suit is one piece and slides on easily. There are no uncomfortable snaps or buckles that might come undone. It will stay in place even in rough waves. The extra coverage also means less sunblock to apply which is always a plus. The bonnet really finishes off this old-world look. The elastic holds it in place and you can tuck their hair up inside of it to prevent it getting wet. My daughter loved the design and she feels like a Victorian princess when she's wearing it. Both pieces are extremely well made so you can expect to get lots of wear out of them and probably pass them down when your child outgrows them.  I can't wait until it's warm enough to hit the beaches. I know my daughter be the hit of Cape May this summer thanks to Chichanella Bella.
