My Thoughts

If you're looking for a great gift for your mom, The Spice Lab has some unique items that would make perfect gifts for any woman.  They can turn an occasional treat into an everyday obsession with their affordable line of  bath salts and delicious teas.  I was able to try out three different products in various scents and flavors and they have me totally addicted.

The first thing you'll notice about these bath salts is their cute bottle. They are shaped almost like old-fashioned milk bottles. Of course, what's inside is even better. Each batch comes straight from the Himalayas and is a completely  natural way to enjoy your bath time. The salts dissolve quickly in the hot water, leaving you with an invigorating and relaxing atmosphere. Soaking in warm water with these salts will loosen up those tight muscles and is wonderful, holistic option for people with chronic pain.  It's a great way to start the day or to get a second wind. It you don't have time for a full bath, it also makes a great foot soak, especially for tired and achy feet. I tried out both the plain salts and the Pina Colada Green Tea and they were both an indulging treat.

I really enjoyed their tea as well. I am a big tea drinker, but new to loose leaf tea. You will need a tea strainer to enjoy these teas,but it's well worth the investment. I tested out the Georgia Peach variety.  It was unique and refreshing flavor that you can enjoy iced or hot. This also comes in a classy glass jar, and even has a little spoon to help portion it out. I love all natural products, and use them whenever possible. However,  in my little town, they aren't always easy to find. Hair & Body Wash - I can use this to wash both my baby's hair and his body.   Its made with calendula and mandarin, so it has a light citrus scent that is not overpowering.  It comes in an easy to use pump bottle and creates a generous foam that lathers nicely. Bath time will only take about two pumps-one for the body and one to shampoo the hair.

Body Lotion -  This lotion has a light, crisp scent and leaves my children's skin feeling rose-petal soft.  The baby lotion is gentle and safe for a newborn's skin. It goes on smooth and has no greasy residue.

Bath & Massage Oil - The massage oil is made using calming chamomile and lavender essential oils. It's a wonderful way to settle little ones down before bed.

This is one of the only conditioners I have ever tried that I can get a comb through my hair with no hassle after using it. Both the shampoo and the conditioner have a light pleasant scent that is not overbearing. It won't cancel out your favorite perfume. The shampoo lathers nicely and both rinse quickly.

Bath Foam & Bath Milk - Bath time is often the only time a busy mom can sneak a few minutes for herself, and these two products will make that treat even more relaxing. The essential oils smell amazing and help you to relax. The foam will create a haven of bubbles while the milk will turn the water a creamy white. Both are luxurious to lie in.

Bath Salts - The best cure for sore muscles is a nice warm bath. When you add some of these wonderful bath salts, you won't just feel better, you'll feel energized and revitalized. The lavender and ylang ylang is wonderful and relaxing. The eucalyptus and peppermint is great when you have a cold because it will help you breath easier.

Hand & Body Wash - You can use this in the shower with a poof or leave in on the sink to wash your hands. I love how versatile it is almost as much as I love how soft it leaves my skin. It also has the pleasant aroma of grapefruit  and ylang-ylang.

 Aqua Spa Body Cleanser is a wonderful formula that exfoliates even as it cleans. It comes in a nice pump bottle and just one squirt is enough to to get the job done. It foams up nicely and leaves skin feeling soft and deep down clean. The variety I tried was Energize and this was exactly what I needed in my shower. The scent of citrus and ginger is a real eye-opener early in the morning and will help you start your day feeling refreshed and revitalized. 

The body creme is absolutely to-die for. The Relax blend is silky and smooth and rubs in evenly, without leaving behind any greasy residue. Lavender is one of my favorite essential oils because of its healing and relaxing qualities, so I love finding new products that utilize it. Couple that with chamomile and you're guaranteed a relaxing treat for your skin. The aroma is a great way to unwind at the end of  a long day and the light scent clings to your skin long after you've applied. I like to use it at night before bed because lavender is proven to help you get a good night's sleep in a pure and natural way.

Our Thoughts
I'm all about bath salts and soaks. I love to be able to relax, when I get a chance, in the tub with a good book. I also love trying new soaks and salts so these bath soaks were the perfect thing for me to try out.

The first thing that appealed to me was the nice packaging of the soaks. They come in a plastic bottle which is just enough for one bath. It poured out very easily - I even rinsed the container while the tub was filling just to make sure I got all of the soak. While all of the soaks are fantastic, smell amazing, and work very well, my favorites are the Yoga Soak and Surfer Soak.
