A good, dishy, funny, sexy novel. Perfect by the pool read

When Fanny Packer, a voluptuous belly dancer steals a mysterious codex that looks like the Kama Sutra on steroids from a notorious mafia family in Rome, total chaos ensues. Fortunately for Fanny, her secret admirer, Charley Brooks, will do anything to protect her. Unfortunately that includes out-maneuvering the mob’s most horrific hit man; the hirsute dwarf, Nano Mortale. 
With the help of a dominatrix and traveling in an old bookmobile converted into bordello organized by the Dewey Decimal System, Fanny and Charley make a desperate run from Los Angeles to Worland, Wyoming, where they hope to unlock the codex one position at a time.

My Thoughts 

This novel is so much fun. It is so easy to read, and very interesting. Jonathan Harries wrote a memorable story about a belly dancer named Fanny Packer that men just seem to become obsessed with. It is very validating too as a woman with a not so tiny booty to see that a man wrote about this voluptuous woman as the center of so many mens' fantasy. It is nice to see, and makes you feel like that this what a man actually wants. I feel like too often our heroines are these tiny stick women. Unfortunately quite often they are written this way by other women. I like Mr. Harries's view of a sexy woman. To top it all off, this book is hysterical. I mean I don't want to give a lot away but there are assassins, a mean dwarf, a secret family sex codex, a dominatrix, 

The really great thing about this novel is that both of these people are people of questionable moral fiber. Charley can be a little bit of a pervert, and Fanny has not always made the best life choices, but despite all of this... by the end of the novel you still really care about these two. You root for them. The ending is perfect, there are twists and turns. And for a person who is very picky about her comedy, (I don't like stupid humor) this book made me laugh out loud. A lot. There was almost a loss of male member from a shotgun, a trip to Wyoming, and sometimes surprisingly moving moments throughout. I mean just some of the words to describe this book, assassin, dwarf, belly-dancer, karma sutra, dominatrix, etc. This book is a no brainer for you beach bag. The only thing I don't recommend about this book is reading it somewhere where you have to be quiet, because the book will make you laugh out loud.

Our Thoughts

If you've read any other review I've done, you know I have kids. Two of my kids plus myself need glasses. Mister R needs glasses full time since he's nearsighted whereas Mister M and I need them for reading only. Three of us in glasses could break the bank! 

What happens when you go to the eye doctor usually? You end up getting your prescription and get shown all these glasses that don't necessarily fit your style or pocketbook! If you're anything like me, you don't want to spend a whole lot on glasses for the kids just incase they break them (which Mister R broke 3 pair last year alone.) So instead of spending an arm and a leg on glasses, I get the script from the eye doctor and run out to Zenni Optical. 

I never thought that just going out to Zenni Optical would be painless, I only hoped that it would be less painful than ordering at the doctor's office. Zenni surprised me big time! Ordering is as easy as picking your glasses, the shape of the lens and filling in the information on your prescription that you got from the doctor. The most thought that you need to put into ordering your glasses is really what design you want and which add-ons you need for the lenses. 

Once you order, your glasses usually arrive within a week to 10 days. My glasses needed a bit of an adjustment to fit properly so I just ran to the nearest eye doctor's office to have them fit them which they did for free. All in all, I love Zenni Optical. I'll use them again and again!
