My Thoughts 

These toys are hysterical. One thing to know about my son is he has a two different laughs. His fake laugh and his real life. His fake laugh is obnoxious, loud and grating. I love him, but it is. His real life is adorable and infectious. These toys bring out his real laugh, and I love them for it. The fart gun is as ridiculous as it sounds. It is a fart gun, what are you expecting lol? It is hysterical though. It is a pretty decent size so your kids feel like a tiny bad ass with it, and it makes a bunch of different fart noises. You can either pull the trigger or pump the gun, I guess like a shot gun? (best way I can think to describe it)The best part though is that there is a tiny spray bottle in the barrel of the gun, so when you do the pump action a fine mist comes out, like the fat plume in the movies. Kids think it is absolutely hysterical. 

The Otto the Minion toy is a nice piece of new toy technology. The mouth and features are like a hologram and move with his words and movements. That is probably not what the technology is called, but that is what it reminds me of. They toy performs different actions based on how you move it. Depending on the movement you make, it makes different noise. If you lay it down it snores. If tilt and pretend it is flying it makes flying noises, etc. There is also a special coin you put in the overall pocket that unlocks another secret sound. Very sweet and interactive. My children, who are very much obsessed with the Despicable Me movies, love these. There are a lot of other adorable toys from this new line to check out as well.

My Thoughts

Gru and the gang are back in Despicable Me 3, and there is plenty of action. We start off with Gru and his new wife, Lucy, on the trail of an evil super villain named Bratt. He was an 80's child star who turned bad when his show was cancelled. Now he's stuck in the 80s, and uses weapons made from things like gum and a rubix cube to pull off his capers. When Gru and Lucy fail to catch him, they get fired. It's a tough situation, but things start looking up when Gru discovers he has an twin brother named Drew. After meeting his brother, he learns that their family has a long legacy of being villains, and Drew wants Gru to join him. Soon Gru finds himself mixed up in his brother's antics, and trying to stop Bratt from taking over the world. In the meantime, Lucy is struggling with being a new mom to three crazy girls, and the minions have quit working for Gru. What will happen next? Will Gru turn back to a life of crime?  You'll have to watch to find out.


My kids just loved this film and all the great new additions to the cast. There was non-stop action, and lots of laughs as well. I enjoyed Despicable Me 3 more than I was expected to! All the 80s music is what really won me over because it reminded me of my own childhood. My daughter's favorite part was the Agnes's goaticorn.  And of course, the minions always steal the show, even if they aren't the title characters this time around.

In addition to the feature film, the special edition also includes some great bonus footage. There is a bonus short film called, The Secret Life of Kyle. There are also lots of deleted scenes and character profiles. If you want to grab a copy of Despicable Me 3 for yourself, it is available now in stores nationwide. You can also find it on Amazon. If you have a little minion who loves this movie, the Special Edition Blu-ray would definitely make a great stocking stuffer.

 Even though these yogurts are great on their own, we decided to have a little fun with them. Summer is  the perfect time to create a Mickey Mouse Smoothie. It's fast, easy, and a satisfying snack kids will love. Here's the recipe:

One Banana

One Cup Strawberries

Two Minions Yoplait Cups

Water

Ice

Optional - Hemp Seeds, Granola or Almonds

Directions: Add all contents to blender and mix on high. Pour back into Minions cups.
