Based on the global hit animated series, the live-action "Kim Possible" Disney Channel Original Movie follows everyday teen hero Kim Possible and best friend and sidekick Ron Stoppable as they embark on their freshman year of high school, all while saving the world from evil villains. By their side every step of the way is teen tech-genius Wade and new friend Athena, who also happens to be a Kim Possible super fan and is eager to join Team Possible. While Kim and Ron have always been one step ahead of their opponents, navigating the social hierarchy of high school is more challenging than the action-hero ever imagined. With Drakken and Shego lurking in the wings, Kim must rely on her family and friends more than ever. Now it's up to Team Possible—Kim, Ron, tech-genius Wade, new friend Athena and Rufus, a naked mole-rat that Ron meets along the way—to stop these super villains.
My Thoughts
Kim Possible is a fun new movie inspired by the cartoon series. It centers around a group of teen spies with the tech tools to get the job done. Kim and her friend Ron Stoppable team up to defeat Dr. Drakken. I was exited to see that even Ron's pet mole-rat was in the movie. They also added a cyborg side-kick. The team gets into lots of trouble along the way, but they always manage to get out a pinch.
The Kim Possible movie was a fun new addition to Disney DVD. My teen kids loved the cartoon when they were little, so they wanted to watch it with their younger siblings. While the movie wasn't a perfect replica of the series and it was a little predictable, it was still fun to see some of our favorite characters back in action. My younger children were introduced to them for the first time, and not they want to watch the cartoon. You can grab a copy for yourself on Amazon.
