An Elephant’s Journey DVD

After losing his parents, Phoenix (Sam Ashe Arnold) moves to Africa to live with his Aunt Sarah (Elizabeth Hurley). While on safari with his uncle one day, Phoenix wanders off and becomes lost in the African bush. After rescuing a huge elephant from a trap, Phoenix befriends the great creature, which he names Indlovu (“The Unstoppable”). Riding through the wilderness, the bold duo finds evidence of a local gang of poachers, and together they plot to stop the hunters’ cruel plans.

My Thoughts

An Elephant’s Journey centers around a little boy named Phoenix. He loses his parents in a tragic accident and the only family he has left is an aunt who lives a somewhat unconventional life. He's forced to give up everything he knows and move to Africa with her. He's only there a little while when he wanders away and gets lost. While he's lost in the wilderness, he comes across an elephant who is in trouble. He saves the elephant, and the two of them become friends. The pair work together to stop the poachers who are trying to kill the beautiful elephants of Africa.
This was a really wonderful and inspiring film. Elephants are one of my spirit animals, so I felt really connected. It's a wonderful film the whole family can enjoy together with a great moral. Plus, it teaches them a little about nature and the horrors of poaching. I would recommend it to anyone. Grab a copy for yourself in stores nationwide or online at Amazon.
