March National Kidney Disease Prevention Month/April Donate Life Month

One in three Americans are at risk for chronic kidney disease.  Kidney disease causes more deaths than breast cancer or prostate cancer and is the 9th leading cause of death in the U.S. It is estimated that 30 million people in the U.S. are affected but 90% of those with kidney disease don’t even know they have it!.
While the stats are super compelling, it's also relevant to *MARCH* National Kidney Disease Prevention Month and *APRIL* National Donate Life Month.

The Mendez National Institute of Transplantation Foundation (MNITF) is a 501c3 non-profit organization founded in 1994 that has created the “Get the Facts! Get Checked! Get Healthy!” PSA which delivers a strong call-to-action about kidney disease prevention, the need for organ donation, and learning more about research, education and innovation at FixingPaco.org

I think that everyone should leave a kidney at least on their donor cards for this reason. So many people wait for many years to receive one.I personally know of one person whose family was told they had a kidney for him on the day after he passed away.
