My Thoughts
The Epic Fantasy Collection may be my favorite release from Millcreek thus far. I am a HUGE fantasy fan. It's my favorite genre, but I typically stick with books because it's rare to find a fantasy film that it worth watching.  Yet, this DVD set managed to pick five of the best fantasy mini-series that were every made.  They include:
Tin Man - This series is a twist on the Wizard of Oz that gives the original a run for it's money. Dorothy is actually came from Oz and finds herself in a search for her family that leads to a very unexpected discovery.
The 10th Kingdom - This is my favorite movie of all time. I have a huge crush of Wolfe. I love the unique twists on all the classic fairy tales. The true identity of the evil queen will send viewers reeling. My copy is all scratched up, so I am SO glad to have a new one.
The Odyssey  - This version of the Odyssey may be the closest to the ancient myth. The special effects are stunning, and you feel like you are journeying right alongside them.
Merlin - This mini-series tells the story of Merlin. You get to see his origin, meet his true love, and see the magic force that drives him.
Gulliver's Travels- This another great adaption of a classic. Other versions focus only on the little people, but in this one, you get to meet giants and even horses that are smarter than most humans.
This is such a great collection. If you know anyone who loves a good fantasy, this would make a great gift. Each one of these films is an epic mini series, so you are getting hours of entertainment with each film.  Grab one for yourself at Millcreek Entertainment for only $48.98.
