My Thoughts

SpacePOP is a fun web series that that is making it's DVD debut in a full length movie. In the film, the evil Empress Geela has taken over the Pentacle. There are five teenage princesses who go under-cover as a band to try to save their parents and the rest of their people. They form a strong resistance and spread their message with their songs. Each girl is as strong as the goddess she's named after.

This is such a fun movie. The girls sort of remind me of Jem and the Holograms which was one of my favorite shows as a kid. The girls have the same spunk and they also play some awesome tunes. What I like best is that they encourage friendship and diversity.  My daughter just loved the show and the strong female characters who stand up to the evil Empress. The DVD is being released to get everyone excited about the upcoming DVD series. In addition to the movie, you also get three music videos and teaser trailer of the new series. It's a great package deal and a great introduction to a TV show that is sure to be a hit.
