Healthy Munchy Snacks for Halloween

If you’re looking for new ideas that are healthy, delicious, filling and satisfying, I have a great new single serve snack pouch that packs a fruity punch without added sugar or salt.  Healthy Munchy (www.Healthymunchy.com) is an all-natural fruit crispy snack made only from fresh-picked apples, pineapple or bananas that are freeze-dried using new technology to eliminate moisture and retain that satisfying crunch.

They come in individual bags that feature licensed Nickelodeon characters Dora the Explorer and Spongebob Squarepants.  So they’re just as fun on the outside as they are delicious and healthy on the inside.

My Thoughts

I love Healthy Munchy. Not only do they feature some of their favorite cartoon characters on the package, they taste amazing too! The company sent us three of the fruit packs tp try out: Apple, Banana, and Pineapple.  I am not ashamed to admit we ate them all in a very short period of time!

Out of the three, I couldn't decide between the banana and the Pineapple as my favorite.  Both flavors are excellent (well, they ALL are!).  The Apple flavors are a little lighter, more "puff" like.  The Pineapple and the banana have a slightly rougher, crunchier texture.

With several finicky kids in the house, good quality packaged snack foods that they enjoy and that are healthy are hard to come by. I avoid most commercial dried fruits specifically because of the preservatives and sulfides used.  While I like dried fruit, it's soft and chewy.  Sometimes I want a crispy snack!  Freeze dried fruits are a great way to get that satisfying "crunch", and Healthy Munchy is perfect for that!    Great travel food, great snack packs!  And,a  great alternative for Halloween handouts for kids of all ages!

I have not heard of them but my nephew would really love to see these. Sponge Bob is a very cute way to go for a great snack.
