Book Review : THE BEACH BOOK‏

As the summer heat slowly sets in, everyone under the sun begins to wonder what to do when the kids are home, the days are long, and the weather is warm. While camping trips and swimming expeditions are the season’s typical activities, parents, vacationers, and other outdoor adventurers often wonder how to reinspire the summer.

In preparation for this season of adventure, The Beach Book  reinvestigates the shoreline and offers free and exciting ideas for your summer vacations and beachside explorations. Banishing the infamous phrase “I’m bored”, authors Fiona Danks and Jo Schofield offer creative, inexpensive and ecological opportunities for seaside play and endeavor to create a new and exciting space of adventure along nature’s lakesides, riverbeds, and beautiful ocean shorelines.

My thoughts:

With Summer just approaching, and we live in town where we have the beach, this book is a great one for my family.  There are so many great ideas of things to do.  There are games you can make from bottles and sand.  My two kids loved making facing on the stones as this is one of the many ideas you can do/make in this book.

This book is loaded with sixty eight different projects to do.  And each page has step by step easy and simple instructions and a colorful picture of what your project  should look like.  Really a great book for any family or group of friends to have.  I know my family will get to do many of the projects in this book throughout the summer.
