Pereg Gourmet, a
family-owned company specializing in 100% natural and premium ancient
grains, has introduced a fun-loving and healthier alternative to puffed
rice or corn cereal, called
Quinoa Pops.
Made by popping whole
grain quinoa under high pressure and a bit of heat (like popcorn), the
popped quinoa is then combined with natural flavorings like pure cocoa
powder, premium vanilla and natural strawberry
flavors to create a delightfully pure, simple and yummy treat. Only 100
calories per serving, Quinoa Pops contain no cholesterol, and are low
in sodium and sugar. Available in original, vanilla, strawberry and
cocoa, Quinoa Pops are also certified gluten-free,
OU Kosher, and a perfect complement to vegetarian and paleo diets.
Every bite offers a delicately sweet flavor, delicious airy texture, and playful crunch.
Try adding toppings like raisins, bananas or
berries and combine with almond milk for a well-rounded morning meal.
Quinoa Pops also make a fun, anytime-of-day snack. Simply grab a handful
to munch on, add to your
favorite trail mix recipe, or sprinkle them into yogurt.
Pereg Gourmet’s Quinoa Pops are available at select retailers across the country and online. Visit

My Thoughts
Anyone with finicky eaters knows that it's never easy to get kids to try new things. My son would live off hot dogs and chicken nuggets if I let him, but I've been trying to get him to try things that are a little healthier. For breakfast, instead of sugary cereals, I tried out the all new Quinoa Pops from Pereg Gourmet. My kids were interested as soon as they saw the boxes. The bright colors and designs are appealing to children and made them more willing to try this gluten-free cereal when normally they would cover their mouths and run away. Tasting it was even better. The four flavors included original, strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla, and my family loved them all.
Quinoa Pops are made by popping whole
grain quinoa under high pressure. The result is tiny grains that are light and fluffy and taste amazing. They are sweet, but not overly sugary. They can be eaten with milk or added to yogurt for a healthy breakfast. My kids loved the texture and the flavor of these cereals. They ate every bite! I also think the small size of the pieces makes them a great choice for little ones starting on solid foods. They are so small, you don't have to worry about choking. My only issue is that I need bigger boxes! With four kids, one box only lasted one day. I need a mega box of Quinoa Pops because they were such a big hit! Overall, this is a tasty cereal that is gluten free and kosher. I would recommend it to anyone with kids with special dietary needs or even those who just want to switch over to something a little healthier.
