This fall, John Deere digs deeper into the toy industry by introducing a
brand new and exciting new addition to its award-winning toy line: Gear
Force action-packed toy vehicles that offer endless farm and off-road
excitement, made especially for the preschool
crowd.
Each Gear Force set is a complete adventure in a box that encourages
imaginative play, with poseable characters and animals, functional
equipment and accessories that can all be used to create fun stories and
adventures.
This is the largest vehicle in the
John Deere Gear Force fleet, the brand new ultra-powerful Harvest Action Combine.
The combine features lights and sounds, opening side panels, plus the
ability to pick up corn and launch it out of the hopper. The playset
also includes Jackson
(a farmer), Hank (a construction worker), a raging bull that’s ready to
charge, a dog, and thematic accessories: a shovel, wrench and pitchfork
My Thoughts
If you have a little boy, you need to get the John Deere Gear Force Playset. We have tons of toy trucks, but we've never had a harvester before, so it was a new and interesting addition to our lineup. This one has lots of fun perks. There are several buttons to press that make realistic machinery noises, car honks, and play music. Movement, however, is completely kid-powered. They can manually turn the combines and push the truck along the floor. It does work much better on hard surfaces than carpet, but it will still move with a little effort. We had no issues with the tires sticking. There is also a really cool corn harvest feature. There are two plastic bales of hay that you can load inside and when you press the lever, it goes flying. It doesn't go that high, and occasionally it does jam, but my son still loves this feature.
In addition to the truck itself, the John Deere Gear Force Playset comes with a variety of action figures and tools. There's a farmer and construction worker with moving arms and legs. The tools are designed to snap into their hands so they can hold them independently. They fit inside the cabin of the harvester, which has a door that opens and closes. There is also a bull and a dog action figure. You get pretty much everything you need for the harvest. Having the people come with the harvester was a big perk for my son. It has encouraged him to use his imagination.
This interactive toy is so much fun. My son adores it and hasn't lost interest at all since it arrived a week ago. He even wants to sleep with it in his bed. His big sister thought it was pretty cool, too. The two of them have spent hours playing with it together. I would recommend the John Deere Gear Force Playset to anyone with kids of pre-school age or older who love to play with trucks.
If you'd like to purchase the amazing John Deere Gear Force Playset, its available at Toys R Us, Walmart, Amazon.com and John Deere dealers.
