ABOUT TRISH STRATUS
From wrestling champion and fitness icon to television personality and now entrepreneur, few people can claim as diverse and successful a career as Trish Stratus. A record-setting seven time World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Women's Champion, Stratus is one of the most successful professional athletes in sports entertainment. Combining beauty and brawn, she embodied the rise of the 'WWE Diva' as a cultural phenomenon. After seven years, Stratus retired from the world of sports entertainment in 2006. As champion, she took her final bow at the Air Canada Centre in front of 20,000 hometown fans and set a Guinness World Record for most wins by a female wrestling champion.
Stratus' foray into the yoga world began with a back injury that sidelined her during her wrestling career. After using yoga as a means of rehabilitation, Stratus was able to make a full comeback to the ring. Her interest and studies continued after her retirement and eventually lead her to pursue a certification program in the Ashtanga discipline. Wanting to spread the word of the benefits of yoga, Stratus opened Stratusphere Yoga Studio which was voted Best New Business in 2009. Trish was named Top Business Woman of the Year in 2010. Her entrepreneurial achievements have been recognized in various publications as she has quickly become one of the country's most dedicated advocate of yoga.
Trish's signature workout, Stratusphere Yoga is now available at major retailers across North America. To celebrate the release, Stratusphere Shop is offering copies of Trish's hybrid workout and for limited time, each copy will be personally autographed by the fitness icon!

OUR THOUGHTS
I love doing yoga - but never seem to have the time to go to classes here in town, or try to come up with my own routine. Between chauffeuring the kid, running a business, and running a household, there just isn't enough time in the day for all I'd like to get done.  So - hey, 10 minutes here, 10 minutes there - I think I can do that!

The workouts in Stratusphere Yoga are easy enough for a beginner to follow.  They do recommend going online and getting familiar with positions and their names - but really you can watch and follow along, or at least I could and all my life I've had a hard time being able to follow a choreographed routine.  The workouts have a good pace, good flow, not difficult.  Each workout features Trish and two others doing the same routine together so you can see it from different angles. I like how the 10 minute workouts are separated into different areas of the body to target, so you can choose what you want to work on.

What I really like about the DVD is that it's so simple - plain white background, plain outfits, no obnoxious music. To be honest, if it were filled with bright colors and bouncy music, I wouldn't want to watch it - this is perfect - CALM.   Did I mention that I really love that they are using yoga for a workout???  It's about as stress-free as a workout as you can get!

If you're interested in yoga, whether you're a beginner like me or even if you're more advanced but still want a workout routine, give Stratusphere Yoga a try!  Be sure to check out www.stratusphereyoga.com - there's lots of great info there including nuTRISHion, Trish's healthy recipes for shakes and meals!
