My Thoughts

My four-year-old daughter was thrilled with the Smartwatch. We got one in pink, which is of course her favorite color. Setting up the Kidizoom was easy. You just charge it using your computer and set the time. You can choose from a digital or analog display and more than fifty different themes. You can set the alarm with fun sounds and even animated cartoon animals.  In addition to being a cool first watch, there are tons of other activities. Built into the watch is a camera/video recorder. Images can be downloaded to any computer with the USB that also works as a charger. The camera is on the side of camera, so it took a few tries to get the pictures to come out evenly, but my daughter got the hang of it pretty quickly.

Another fun feature is the microphone. Kids can record and play back in silly voices. The menu is all pictures, so it's easy for them to pick what they want to do, even if they haven't learned to read yet. The watch also comes with three games. One of them is puzzles. It will randomly select a few pictures already included, but also uses the pictures you take and save as puzzles. My daughter thought it was fun to have puzzles of her family!  The next game is Super Detective. In this game they show you a mug shot and then you have to keep picking out the right person as groups of photos flash across the screen. The final game is Finger Dance where you have to repeat the color sequence. Additional games can be downloaded from the website.

The VTech Kidizoom Smartwatch is just awesome! There are so many cool features perfect for younger children just getting into electronics. This one little device can take photos, record videos play games, and even help kids learn to tell time, and more! It's a great way to keep kids entertained on rainy days or long outings. It will even keep them quiet when  you're standing in line at the store. Because it's strapped to their wrist, there is no worry that it will get lost. It's also splash proof and protected by a thick layer of plastic so you won't have to worry about bumps and drops. Every kid needs to have a Vtech Kidizoom Smartwatch!
