Easter Gift Guide - Educational Bug Pop-up Books from Insight Kids
Book made a wonderful addition to any Easter Basket, but none may be as appropriate as the Pop Up Bug Books from Insight Kids. This set if four fun mini books are just the right size to fit in a basket and each one gives an in depth look at a special insect including the Ant, Bee, Wasp, and Fly.
A pop-up book about ants captures the insects squirting acid at enemies, laying eggs, tending their queen, and tidying their chambers in underground nests, with a paper ant sculpture to be hung and bounced from the elastic in the back cover.
By folding back the front and back covers, an ingeniously engineered 3-D insect appears, complete with a loop to hold the covers in place and a string with which to hang the Ant.
Little books that turn into bugs! Suitable for hanging-and bouncing! A pop-up book about flies details the amazing capabilities of one of the most common insects, such as how they can hover and fly backward and taste food with their feet. A paper fly sculpture can be hung and bounced from the elastic in the back cover.
My children adored these pop up bug books. They offer lots of scientific information using pictures and diagrams kids an understand. From antennae to the legs, it goes over and body part. Each book also shows a few different species as well as the egg/larva stages of the insect's life. It's a great way for them to learn about the bugs that will soon be buzzing around their backyard as spring comes into full bloom. At the very back of each book is a giant pop up of the insect in question. After reading the books together, my little ones had fun chasing each other around with their pop up wasps and bees. It's definitely an interesting look at insect life and even I learned a thing or two!

I really like the format of the Bug Pop-Up books. I believe its very important to teach children about nature. Some children are very frightened by bugs and this series may help them, through learning to not be so afraid. An Easter basket delight.
My grandson would love these. I great idea to fill and Easter basket with now that warmer weather is coming
