Easter Dinner or Brunch Made Easy With Reser's Main Street Bistro Baked Dinners #Giveaway

By Tara. *Item received for review. No financial reimbursement.*

Easter is just around the corner and I know for many of you that means big family get-togethers and everyone's gotta eat, right?

And I don't know about you, but while I love my family, having them all gathered for dinner can be stressful. Stressful to the point that if I'm responsible for cooking the meal, I feel an ulcer coming on. It's not that I'm a bad cook. It's that I have a family full of the most finicky eaters, like...EVER.

Broccoli Cheese Rice
I have an aunt that won't touch cheese, a dad that can't eat salt, a mom who eats almost nothing but steak and potatoes. She won't touch onions, tomatoes, peppers, sauce... Add a stepmother who worries about carbs and that uncle allergic to this and that and don't forget the uncle on the strictest diet ever and the one with diabetes.

Imagine trying to cook something that ALL the above family members would like and can eat?

If everyone gets a special dish, well, there won't be time for socializing, will there? And isn't that what holidays should all be about?

I have the solution. Get Reser's.

Make a turkey or some huge main meat dish that everyone but the vegetarian will eat and then line your table with miscellaneous baked side dishes that only take 20 minutes to bake. You can also microwave them, but baking is recommended.

I promise they have a home-cooked taste and there's something for everyone. For the aunt who won't eat cheese--get the mashed potatoes--for the kids who won't eat anything at all, it seems, get the mac 'n cheese. The vegetarian? Get the Broccoli Cheese Rice.

Zesty Au Gratin Potatoes
My point is: have a huge selection without breaking your back. They'll be impressed with the taste; there'll be something for everyone; and you'll have little to no mess to clean up as you can just throw the black trays away once everything is eaten.

Today I have the pleasure of sharing with you two very specific sides I got try this last weekend.

1. Zesty Au Gratin Potatoes.

What they say: A rich and zesty baked casserole of tender sliced potatoes and diced jalapeños topped with golden-brown cheddar cheese and crispy bacon.

Baked Hash Brown Casserole
What I say: I baked this for 20 minutes as the instructions instructed and while I was a tad worried it would be too jalapenoey, to my great surprise and pleasure, I loved it. It tasted fresh, was easy (simply remove the wrapper and plastic and preheat the oven and put this in there and wait twenty min), and it's zesty/spicy without being "OMG. I need water now!"

The jalapenos are a subtle taste though the kick is def there. It's a perfect combination. Not too  hot; just right.

What they say: A hearty baked casserole of shredded potatoes topped with golden brown cheddar cheese.

What I say: This is the dish I'd make for my mother. This is also the dish I'd buy a few of to make for breakfast for the family who stay over. I actually baked this one and served it alongside eggs in the morning. It got a huge thumbs' up from the husband and I certainly loved it myself.

My only complaint is I wish the boxes were bigger!!!

And as for breakfast, if you want the hashbrowns on the table asap, you can microwave it for 5 minutes.

These are never frozen, just refrigerated, so there is no thaw time period.

So this Easter as you make your grocery list and feel a gray hair coming in at the thought of that aunt who won't eat cheese and the mother who won't touch onions, just take a deep breath and relax, and then write Reser's Baked Sides down and be done with it.

And on that note, Reser's is feeling generous this Easter. They wish to give away an “Easter Bunny Gift Basket” packed with Reser’s products and fun Easter goodies to one lucky reader (value of $50). <<one winner, US only, gift value $50>>

I will say it is my sister. She doesn't eat red meat, pork of any kind, and much more. She does seem to love pasta of any sort so I'd say she'd eat any of the pasta dishes.
