Lotty Dotty, a collection of interactive t-shirts and handbags (that double as iPad covers) inspired by playing dress up with paper dolls.

Founded in 2009 by Shevanne Helmer and Maya Persaud, two American women living in Paris, France, the company has designed and patented a revolutionary line of high-fashion T-shirts featuring screen printed doll figures, that can be dressed interchangeably with Velcro-backed designer mini-outfits. 

Harking back to childhood memories of playing with paper dolls, Shevanne and Maya named the company Lotty Dotty after one of their early favorites.

The company also serves as a showcase for unknown talented designers who create the mini-outfit collections, and are promoted on the company's website and packaging. LottyDotty uses organic cotton and recyclable materials as much as possible and is dedicated to aiding women and children issues.

Lotty Dotty is tailored to each customer age range and size, there are two types of dolls offered. There are preadolescent (ages 4-10) as well as adult dolls (ages 12-50) that can be dressed and undressed directly on the t-shirt.

Creating your Lotty Dotty designs is simple and fun. Just log onto the website and pick your favorite shirt. They are available in a wide range of colors and sizes. Once you have that part done, you can pick the doll that looks the most like your child. They have all different hair colors and skin tones so no one is left out. The last step is the most exciting. Once you have your avatar selected, you get to dress her! Each shirt comes with two different, interchangeable outfits. Choose from a fancy party gown to jeans and a casual tee. There is something to suite every little girl's style. The dress is fastened with Velcro undergarments. This not only allows you to change the clothes, but remove the outfits before washing.

My little girl received a few Lotty Dotty shirts and she absolutely loves them. The design is fun and unique and she loves switching the outfits on her "doll". The shirts are 100%  organic cotton and there are no itchy tags, so they are soft and comfortable to wear. They look great with pants or a skirt, and because you can change the outfit on the character, it's easy to mix and match them with a lot of different pieces.
