Galaxy Desserts Review & Giveaway

***Complimentary product received in exchange for a honest review***

I have always loved croissants, but they have been a rare indulgence. Unless I could get them fresh at a bakery, they just didn't live up to my expectations. Baking them myself at home never even occurred to be. I am the woman who burns water, so anything involving an oven intimidates me. Yet, my love of croissants forced me to push past my fear and agree to give Galaxy Desserts croissants a chance. I assumed if it got too complicated, my chef husband would be able to help me, but making the croissants was surprisingly simple.

I received a batch of croissants which arrived securely packaged and frozen.  Once the dough dethawed,  I had to let them sit out for a while so the yeast could rise. That does take several hours, so make sure you prepare ahead of time if you want them for breakfast. Once they were ready to cook, we just had to place them on parchment paper and bake. Fifteen minutes later, we had fresh warm croissants that tasted better than any I have ever purchased at even the most expensive bakeries. They were light and flaky on top with a soft center. They came out absolutely perfect. I didn't even need to ask my husband for help.

The plain croissants we used for breakfast. Some we had plain with just a little butter or jelly and some we used to made bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches. They were wonderful, but I have to say, the chocolate croissants were like a little slice of heaven. Still flaky and soft in the center but with a filling of rich dark chocolate that absolutely melted in my mouth. They are the perfect after dinner dessert. If you would like to give them a try for yourself, you can find these desserts exclusively at Williams-Sonoma.
