Wet & Forget Shower Review & Giveaway

Wet & Forget Shower takes the hard work out of cleaning. No scrubbing or wiping needed—just spray on fixtures, shower curtains, enclosures, shower glass, tiles and tubs, once a week, after the last shower of the day. The next day, simply rinse the surfaces before or during your shower.

Wet & Forget Shower's remote trigger sprayer makes your job even easier. Each squeeze of the trigger releases 65% more product than the average sprayer, and gets you out of the bathroom and back to your life faster than those weekly sprayers. Our remote sprayer allows you to get those hard-to-reach spots, and even sprays upside-down.

Wet & Forget Shower gets its cleaning power from a team of dual surfactants. The first surfactant loosens and dissolves soap scum, while the second targets body oils. Wet & Forget Shower's cleaning formula goes to work on contact and keeps your shower clean all week long with just one application. Just spray and forget it!

Wet & Forget Shower gives you a sparkling-clean shower while using a gentle touch. Our formula contains no bleach or ammonia, and doesn't release any harsh fumes. Instead of a sharp chemical smell, Wet & Forget Shower leaves behind a subtle, soothing vanilla essence. Rather than smelling like your local pool, your bathroom will smell like a soft vanilla breeze!

Shopping for Wet & Forget Shower is also a breeze. Our generous 64-ounce economy size gives you 12 weeks of cleaning power in just one bottle. You would have to buy eight 32-ounce bottles of the average daily shower sprays to get the same amount of clean. This means fewer trips to the store! Wet & Forget Shower is conscious of the environment; our once a week formula and economy size means fewer bottles being thrown away each year.

Wet & Forget Shower gives you the clean shower you and your family deserve without all the fuss, so you can get back to enjoying life!

Our Thoughts:
We have super ridiculously hard water here and as you can imagine, lime/calcium + soap residue = lots of buildup.  I’ve tried just about every commercial shower cleaner out there, plus a range of cleaners not designed specifically for showers – from harsh chemicals to natural cleaners.  And nothing worked - even after letting things set for the specified length of time and lots of hard scrubbing.  Some of the cleaners began to loosen the buildup, but turned it into a sticky, gooey mess that was even more difficult to remove.  There has to be an easier way, right?  I was hoping Wet & Forget Shower just might be the ticket to that freedom.
Wet & Forget Shower is very easy to use, just spray down your shower walls and walk away.  There is assembly required for the pump – and I was lucky enough to get a defective pump, LOL!!  I worked in the skin care industry for a number of years, and I understand user error and I also understand defective packaging; this was a packaging defect.  Oh well, never mind – just removed the top (with some difficulty, because you really aren’t supposed to do that) and poured some into a spray bottle.  Fairly easy fix; and so the trial began.  First, I used some of it to clean my shower to see how well it would work after just a few minutes.  It did clean my tub floor well, but not the walls. To be honest, I didn’t have much hope for those walls.  It’d been almost 17 years of hard water and I had yet to find something that worked.   I gave it 3 weeks.  The directions say to use it once per week.  I sprayed it more often than that the first week, then let it go a week between for the second and third weeks.
While Wet & Forget Shower doesn’t specifically say on the bottle that it isn’t designed for hard water, it does say it may highlight calcium deposits if used with hard water.  I had to go to the website to get this info from their FAQ’s:
“Will Wet & Forget Shower remove lime/calcium deposits caused by hard water?

We recommend cleaning lime/calcium deposits prior to using Wet & Forget Shower. Wet & Forget Shower cleans and prevents the build-up of soap scum, grime, oils, mold and mildew stains.

So, to answer your question: Did it work?

Before
After
Sort of.  I didn’t think it had done anything at all, but when comparing the before and after pics I could see a small difference.  I was also seeing some new buildup that doesn't show up in the pics due to there just not being much of a color contrast.  The company also says “Instead of a sharp chemical smell, Wet & Forget Shower leaves behind a subtle, soothing vanilla essence. Rather than smelling like your local pool, your bathroom will smell like a soft vanilla breeze! To me, the scent isn’t anything even remotely like vanilla, and I can honestly say I didn’t care for the scent.  But, the scent stayed local to the bathroom and didn’t fill my whole house with a harsh smell like other cleaners do.  Based on all this, would I keep using it?  No.  It doesn’t clean good enough with super hard water like ours.  But based on seeing a tiny little bit of positive results with super hard water, I think if you have soft water, Wet & Forget  Shower would probably work just fine.
