The  Uniqlo at the Palisades Mall store opening today Friday, March 15th. The new retail location will offer special promotions for the entire family including $9.90 denim, cotton T's for $7.90 and linen and cotton sweaters for $19.90-$29.90. There will be entertainment and activities during the grand opening weekend including a tote bag with a purchase of $50 or more (first 500 customers) and traditional Japanese Taiko drum performances throughout the day.

UNIQLO, the global clothing retailer, announced it will continue its U.S. expansion strategy by opening two new shopping center locations at Palisades Center in West Nyack, NY, and Westchester’s Ridge Hill in Yonkers, NY. Both stores are slated to open spring 2013.
UNIQLO USA CEO Shin Odake says, “We are pleased to partner with both Palisades Center and Ridge Hill on our newest shopping center locations. After a successful launch this past fall at Westfield Garden State Plaza, UNIQLO’s prototype for our mall locations, we are continuing our commitment to roll-out locations at shopping malls across the U.S. With a dedicated fan base in the New York tri-state area, both Palisades Center and Ridge Hill are the natural next step in our expansion plans.”

At 24,000 total square feet, UNIQLO Palisades Center will open first in early March. Palisades Center is the eighth largest mall in the U.S. and sees roughly 20 million visitors each year.
UNIQLO at Ridge Hill, the newly developed and growing shopping facility, will occupy two levels and total 24,000 square feet. Scheduled to open in mid-spring, this will be UNIQLO’s first outdoor lifestyle center location.

To staff the new store, UNIQLO is currently hiring 100 full-time and part-time employees at all levels for each of the new locations. For more information on open positions, you can visit www.uniqlo.com.

The store will showcase the complete offering of UNIQLO products including men’s and women’s basics, AIRism, Ultra Stretch denim, an endless array of colorful bottoms, as well as the spring kids collection.

This will be the company’s sixth and seventh U.S. retail locations. There are currently three UNIQLO stores in New York City, one in Paramus, New Jersey, and one in San Francisco.
