Our Thoughts

This is 40 gives you a exaggerated look into the life of a long time married couple. The movie is supposed to pick up where Knocked Up left off, giving you a look into the lives of Pete and Debbie. While there were plenty of laugh out loud moments in this film, overall, I felt it was lacking something. The character of Leslie comes off as petty because she constantly worries about her age and she is a little obsessive with her children. While I understand this was supposed to be a humorous exaggeration of a common stereotype of middle-aged  woman, it made the character somewhat unlikeable and hard to relate to. Its a fun movie to watch once if you want a good laugh, but I doubt I will watch it more than once.
