Our Thoughts
Let’s talk about sex for a minute. I first learned about PreSeed years ago from many, many other moms on an online parenting forum. Quite a few of those moms swore up and down that using PreSeed helped them get pregnant. (PreSeed can be used for fertility purposes, as it will not harm sperm.) They also said it was by far the best lube they’d ever tried, and they loved it so much they continued using it whether they were trying to conceive or not. After that, how could I turn down a review offer for the stuff? We’re not actively trying to conceive, so I’ll put that part off the table. The manufacturers offer a couple ways to apply it – by hand, or with the help of an applicator to get it next to the cervix. While it does the job, personally I thought the applicator was a bit uncomfortable. But, I also know what women will endure to become pregnant, so that slight uncomfortable-ness isn’t even a blip on the radar there. Next up: how long does it last? I have tried two other kinds – one, like PreSeed, is water based, and the other is petroleum based. The petroleum based ones make you feel like you could slide off the bedsheets at any moment – that is, until they dry, at which point you may have trouble peeling yourself off the bedsheets. I hate petroleum products, hated it in the OB/GYN’s office too, even for the abdominal ultrasounds. The water based ones are much more natural feeling (PreSeed is water based). The other one we’ve tried dried up quickly, but PreSeed does not. I have to agree with the other moms, this stuff is great!
