Our Thoughts on The Movie
The Monster High Double features were both great short films the tween girls at our party loved. "Friday Night Frights" goes along with the dolls we received. The girls compete against a team of gargoyles in a rolling skating derby. The ghouls learn the power of team playing and work together to bring home the gold for their school. I loved the message that it sent about girls being able to take on and defeat even the big guys.
In "Why Do Ghouls Fall in Love". Draculara is celebrating her 1600th birthday and there are two boys who want a piece of her heart. She must choose between an old flame and the new man in her life. Along the way she learns to always trust her feelings and stay true to herself.
Our Party
All the girls at our Monster High party absolutely loved both of the feature films. It was even more exciting when we had the dolls to go along with them. Most of the girls were eleven or twelve and on the cusp of outgrowing toys, but the Monster High dolls are still "cool" to play with and they were acting out the scenes along with the film. My three year old daughter loved her dolls just as much as the older kids. They are really the perfect toys for kids of all ages. As a Phantom of the Opera fan, I was really excited to see the Operetta doll who is the daughter of the phantom.
In addition to the dolls, all the girls at our party got to take home some other fun goodies. There were Monster High themed bracelets, rings, and stickers. We even set the table up with special plates and cups. It was like Dracula's hip and modern castle in our house with all these spooky goodies. Both the movies and the dolls would be great items to add to Easter baskets if you are looking for something fun and different for girls.
