Our Thoughts: My son wants to be an astronaut, so I knew right away this move was going to be a big hit in our house. In Space Dogs, a circus dog and a stray are sent into space in 1960.The movie is actually based on a true story because Russia really did send two dogs into space. This movie just tells the story from their point of view. It may be exaggerated for entertainment, but I'm sure if dogs could talk, this is the story they would tell. From their unique and humble beginnings to their bravery in unknown territory, Belka and Strelka are lovable characters that are easy to get attached to. My kids have watched this movie three times in the last week. So that tells you that it was a huge hit with all of them, and their ages range from two to eleven.
