MAM Smile Baby, Smile Party with New Age Mama

Getting my baby and my toddler off to a good start in their oral hygiene is important. The habits they develop know will effect their teeth for the rest of their life. I have been lucky with my daughter so far. She thinks of brushing her teeth as a game, so its easy to get her to do it. My two older children are a harder to get to cooperate. But that is not always the case. Some little ones fight you tooth and nail when it comes to brushing their teeth. A lot of my friends say that they practically have to strap their kids down to get the tooth brush in their mouths. I has excited to invite those friends over for an in home party sponsored by MAM, so we could learn the importance of brushing from an early age and make it fun event at the same time.

MAM and Child's Play were nice enough to send me everything I needed to make my party a success. We started out with cute cookie cutters to make snacks for the party.   Its a great incentive to help get the party get started and keep the little ones interested.  We also received a big package of goodies to give out including  MAM Massaging Brushes, Training Brushes, Oral Care Rabbits, and more. We also had some games played and fun prizes to give out to the grown ups including Elf cosmetics and photo albums.

As we settled in with our cookies, we all got together to play a game with flashcards. It was a great way to teach the kids about oral hygiene.  My oldest daughter helped by holding up the cards while we talked about what each word meant to us and the oral health of our children. We discussed teething, plaque, drooling, and more.  When we got to the dentist card, a few of the bigger kids shared their stories so it wouldn't seem as scary for the little ones on their first visit. We also handed out the pamphlets and everyone learned  a lot about the importance of good oral hygiene, even before babies get teeth.

After the flashcards, we gave out the prizes, as well as the samples products. Everyone received some type of toothbrush, depending on the age of their children. For the older babies, like my son Nicky, there are brushes with plastic bristles they can chew on to help their gums before they get teeth, and get the few newcomer teeth shiny and clean. The Oral Care Rabbits are great for the  toothless newborns, and the easy to grip training brushes are just what a toddler needs.Everyone had a wonderful time and were thrilled with the samples products they got to take home. I think our party was a huge success.
