  Frankford Candy has partnered with Welch’s to develop an innovative new entry into the rapidly growing licorice category. By adding a jelly-filling inside a juicy-flavored licorice, Frankford has created a new licorice experience with the introduction of Welch’s ® Filled Licorice!  Product, now shipping, is targeting all grocery, convenience and non-food retailers in America.

Welch’s Filled Licorice combines a soft licorice outside with a flavorful filling inside.  The unique jelly filling is made with real fruit juice and fruit pectin to deliver real fruit flavors. This new one-of-a-kind licorice treat is a blend of soft and chewy textures with a bold, real fruit filling.

Our Thoughts

If there are two things that are popular in my house, its licorice and Welch's jelly. When I heard that Frankford Candy had combined the two, it almost seemed to amazing to believe.  But Frankford candy was done it! My family were lucky enough to be among the first to try these exciting new treats. They were a big hit with everyone.  Welch's was the perfect choice for a filling, because its   not too sweet. Its tastes like real fruit, not that artificial stuff. Probably because its made with real fruit!  When you bite into one of these licorice sticks, the creamy interior provides a burst of sweetness that is the perfect way to get your candy fix for the day.  We tried both the strawberry and the grape, and they were both awesome! If you want to try a unique snack bursting with fruit flavor, then give Welch's  Filled Licorice a try!
