Kranky Krab Review & Easter Giveaway

Willow is getting ready to move into her own room, and I am getting ready to decorate it. For the most part, she is inheriting the Tinker Bell decorations that her older sister has outgrown. But I do want her to have a few things that are all her own.  A personalized print with her name on it was just what I needed, and I found exactly what I was looking for at the Kranky Krab.

I was able to go through the whole process of ordering a custom print, and it wasn't nearly as complicated as you might think. It only took a few minutes. You can choose from dozens of colors, fonts, and pictures to create countless different designs. I decided on a fairy picture in purple and yellow with a white frame. This way it still matches the Tinker Bell bedroom set.  The final result was breathtaking and I couldn't be happier with it.

In addition to the fairy prints, the Kranky Krab also have animals, monsters, and more. They also offer alphabet posters, magnets, and original prints. Once you have your design completed, shipping is amazingly quick. I had mine in only a few days, and shipping is always free. And I was amazed at how beautiful it was. Pictures can't really do it justice. Its a keepsake my family will treasure forever.

Day 2 of the #SwitchtoSilk Challenge - Hot Chocolate with Silk Soy Milk

Its day two of our Switch to Silk Challenge! Today we are trying something a little different with the Chocolate Soy Milk from the  Simply Silk line! Since it still around thirty degrees here in South Jersey and we are all home sick with a cold, it was the perfect day for hot chocolate. But instead of using those dried up packages of instant hot chocolate that contain who knows what, we are making some Hot Chocolate with Silk.  This is the recipe I found on their website.

INGREDIENTS

• 2 cups Silk, any flavor except Unsweetened
• 3 oz. semisweet or bittersweet chocolate, finely chopped
• 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
• 1/2 tsp. vanilla
• dash of cayenne (optional)
• chocolate sprinkles (optional)

PREPARATION

In a small saucepan bring Silk to a simmer over medium heat. Whisk in chocolate and continue to cook until chocolate is melted and fully incorporated. Remove from heat and whisk in cinnamon, vanilla and cayenne. Pour into two warm mugs. Top with cinnamon or chocolate sprinkles.
Serves 2
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 5 minutes


We didn't have all the ingredients this particular recipe called for so I had to improvise. We just added in the cinnamon and vanilla. I'm also lazy so I heated our soy milk up in the in microwave. It still turned out awesome and was done in just a few minutes. Check out our video below:



I took a few sips after the video was over and this hot chocolate really is amazing. Its so much better than anything I ever had from a packet. The vanilla and cinnamon made it taste like a gourmet hot chocolate. My kids loved it. I'm sure if you have the other items, it would be even better. And more importantly, I know exactly what went into it, so I know its a healthier choice for my family.

Tropical Traditions All Purpose Cleaner Review & Giveaway

Pixie Kids Toys Review & Easter Giveaway

 I have tried all types of  interesting chocolate products in my life, and especially since I started blogging, but one thing I had never tried was vegan chocolate bars. Upstairs, Downstairs Series One 40th Anniversary Addition DVD Review

When I was a little girl I lived with my grandparents, and they were always watching Masterpiece Theater.  One of the shows I remember them watching was Upstairs, Downstairs, and they were watching right along with everyone else. This original series was one of the most successful British dramas in history. It won  four Emmys, two Golden Globes. a Peabody and more. It originally aired in the 1970s, but is still a favorite with many people worldwide today.

Set between 1903 and 1909, series one introduces the main characters, Sir Richard  and his wife Marjorie who reside upstairs in a posh London neighborhood with their dissolute son, James and headstrong daughter Elizabeth.  Downstairs live the servants including Hudson the ever proper butler, Mrs. Bridges the cook,  the watchful maid Rose and many more. In this outstanding drama series you will find love, tragedies,  near scandals and more. There are even a few wedding bells.

The series brings together a stellar cast including Jean Marsh, Pauline Collins, David Langton, Gordon Jackson and more.  When you watch this show you'll laugh, you'll cry, and you definitely want to come back for more. Its classic TV at its best.

Its big enough to make a statement but not so big that its uncomfortable. Willow barely even noticed she had it on. It looks great with casual wear or with fancy dresses.

Lemon Ladies Review & Giveaway

I go through a lot of lemons at my house. I like a slice them in my water. I use a whole lemons to make homemade iced tea. And I use tons of them to make fresh squeezed lemonade, which is my daughter's absolute favorite. Plus my husband uses them for cooking fish and other goodies at least a few times a week. The problem is, where I live, good lemons are not easy to find. The ones in the grocery store always look like they are dried out and old, and even at the farmer's markets, here in New Jersey, the lemons aren't the best. Arthur and the Invisibles 2 & 3: the New Minmoy Adventures DVD Review

 It was just a few years ago that my kids and I went to the movies to see the original Aurthur and the Invisibles. We all fell in the love the endearing characters and the exciting fantasy storyline of a group of magical creatures that lived in Authur's back yard and the quest to save his family's home.  Now there are two brand new movies coming out featuring Author and his magical friends and picking up where the last movie left off.

In Authur and the Invisibles 2 and 3: The New Minimoy Adventures, the story is based on the third and fourth books in the series. Authur must save Princess Selenia from the Wicked Maltazard. In the third movie Arthur and Selenia chase Maltazard into the human world, where an army of giant mosquitos sets off an epic battle between two kingdoms! The movie brings together an all star cast including Selena Gomez and Lou Reed. The amazing graphics and exciting storyline kept my kids on the edge of their seats for the whole film. My family is very active and we love to spend a lot of time out on nature walks, going for strolls on the beach, or watching sunsets on the bay.  Having a a one year old and a new baby on the way won't change that, so its important for us to have a good carrier.
