Sparkle Hearts Review & Easter Giveaway
My daughter is officially a tween and when it comes to Easter, I had no idea what I could get for her Easter Basket that would not too babyish but that she would still enjoy. I found exactly what I was looking for at Sparkle Hearts. They make wonderful hair and body care products that are perfect for tween girls. They smell great, come in adorable bottles, and most importantly they are BPA free and made with only organic ingredients.
For our review, we received the gift set from Sparkles Hearts, which is just the right size for an Easter Basket. It comes with four wonderful products. My daughter loved the shampoo and conditioner. It left her hair soft and easy to manage with no tangles. The body wash smells wonderful and lathers nicely. It really gives her that grown up feeling to have her own bottle. But her favorite of all was the sparkle lotion. Not only does it leave skin soft and touchable, but it the sparkles really make her skin glow, and again gives her that feeling of coming into her own. All of their products have a light berry scent that kids will love and is not overpowering.
The products at Sparkle Hearts are perfect for girls of all ages. Not only are they organic, but they are not tested on animals and the bottles are made from recycled materials. There are no parabens, no artificial colors, and no carmine aka "bug guts". All of their products are made in the USA so you know you are getting the best organic ingredients possible. Visit the Sparkle Hearts website to find a location near you that sells these amazing products or order online now. Shipping is free if you order three products or more, so stock up today.
One lucky winner is going to receive their own gift set to add to their Easter Baskets. To enter, just visit Sparkle Hearts and tell me another item you would love to try. Puplight Review
Every night I let my dog out. Every night she runs to the back of the house which is like a giant abyssal black hole. She's a large dog but I can't see her at all. When I finally hear something crunching through the leaves, I can only hope that its her and not a skunk or rabid possum or even a serial killer. This has been a nightly routine since I got my dog. But now, thanks to Puplight, I will always be able to see my dog coming.
Puplight is a unique collar that has a detachable light attached to it. The light has a sensor so it only goes off in the dark. You can also turn it off altogether if its not necessary. Its a great way to help you keep track of your pets, especially older dogs who may not be able to see well or hear you calling or puppies that are still learning to respond to commands. The collar itself is made with comfortable elastic material that stretches to help avoid any choking hazards if your dog gets caught on something. My dog seemed very happy to have the way lit for her at night, and I was happy to know exactly where she was. Its also nice for the owners if you want to take a stroll with your dog in the night time hours.

Untold News Giveaway
The mission of Untold News is to educate Americans about the Middle East and the non-political aspects of Israel through dissemination of the unknown stories about Israel’s many humanitarian acts, inventions and start-ups.
For example, it is not generally known that Israel has instantly sent Crisis Teams to a number of nations in trouble, or that Israel has more inventions and start-ups per-capita than all of Europe combined. Helping to present “the other half of the story” could greatly enhance perceptions of Israel in the US.
Untold News’ target audience is neither the committed nor those who are decidedly anti-Israel. It is college graduates who are in the middle group — those who know little about Israel and are not actively seeking information.
Working with experts, Untold News is developing creative strategies and distribution methods to proactively present the case in both traditional and new media.

Love & Other Drugs DVD Review
I have always been a fan of Anne Hathaway. My daughter and I have watched "The Princess Diaries" and "Ella Enchanted" more times than I can count. But while her performance is as stellar as always in "Love &Other Drugs", this is definitely not a movie for the kids. Unless you want to ruin their image of Princess Mia forever. Because it this film, Anne bares it all, and I mean IT ALL...
In Love & Other Drugs, Jaimie Randall (Jake Gyllenhaal) is a drug pusher, but not the kind that works on the street corner. He is peddling the legal kind of drugs from Zantex to Viagra. In his efforts to land a deal with a local doctor, he meets Maggie Murdock (Anne Hathaway), a beautiful young woman who is in the first stages of Parkinson's disease. They form a bond fairly quickly. At first it starts out as just a physical thing. Jaimie has always been a playboy and Maggie doesn't want to burden anyone with her disease. But as time goes by, the playboy learns he has a heart after all, and that he is falling in love with the free spirited Maggie. The only problem is, she doesn't want to be a burden. The toy of them most come to terms with their fears if there relationship is ever going to go to the next level.
Love & Other Drugs is an endearing love story that shows that love really can conquer all, we just have to be brave enough to let it. Both Anne Hathaway and Jake Gyllenhaal give realistic and heart warming performances. The seriousness of their situation is lightened by many humorous scenes and the sex scenes are spicy without being vulgar. If you are looking for a romantic comedy that will make you laugh, cry and ready to snuggle with your sweetheart, this is the perfect movie to watch.
Love & Other Drugs will be available at DVD and Blu Ray Retailers nationwide starting 3/1/11.

Midsomer Murders Set 17 DVD Review
If you are a fan of "Law & Order", you are going to love its British rural counterpart, "Midsomer Murders". In the county of Midsomer, things aren't always what they seem, and there is murder lurking behind many of the well trimmed hedges. The series, which was inspired by the novels by Caroline Graham, offers a selection of murder mysteries filled with intrigue and drama.
I received the Midsomer Murder Set 17 to review, and although I have never seen the show before this, I was able to follow along with no trouble. Each episode stands on its own and offers its own unique and suspenseful storyline. This particular box set includes four exciting episodes including:
The Dogleg Murders ---Members of the Swanky Golf Club keep turning up dead on the 13th hole.
The Black Book--A string of savage murders take place at a local art auction.
Secrets and Spies--A mysterious creature starts out killing sheep but soon moves onto larger prey...
The Glitch---A local scientist tries to stop an American millionaire's latest business venture with fatal results.
The series brings together an all star cast including John Nettles as the Detective Chief Inspector Tom Barnaby and Jason Hughes as his protege, Detective Sergeant Ben Jones. There are also many wonderful guest stars including Peter Davidson, Susannah Harker, Benjamin Whitrow, David Haig and more.
In addition to the full season of episodes, the DVD set also includes cast interviews as well as fascinating facts and productions notes. If you want to get the advantage of a full set of amazing stories that will leave you on the edge of your seat, than this is the box set for you. Synonyms Board Game Review & Giveaway
In our house its family game night every night. As long as homework and chores are done, I always try to find at least an hour to spend playing board games with the kids. When we play so often its nice to have a variety of games to choose from. When those games are educational as well as fun, that is a bonus that is definitely worth looking into. One of the games I recently came across is called Synonyms, and its the perfect way to teach your children challenging word play while enjoying a fun and fast paced game.
Synonyms is a challenging word game that requires thought and interactive play. Players race their pawns around the board and the first to collect all the letters of the word "SYNONYM" will be the winner. Each time a player rolls the dice, they will have to choose a card. Once you have selected your card, the timer is set and you will have to think of the designated number of synonyms to the word you choose. If you succeed, you've earned a letter. But there is a twist. A competitor can declare a challenge. If they can name more synonyms that you, they can steal your card.
Synonyms comes with more than 400 word cards, making for hours of game play. My kids loved it and I was amazed at the number of words they were able to come up with. While designed for children ages ten and older, my eight year old was able to play with no problems. Its a great way to keep them on their toes. It will especially come in handy in the summer to keep their minds fresh and active. If you have kids or tweens, this is a great game to add to your collection.
One lucky winner is going to receive their own copy of Synonyms. To enter, just visit their website and tell me something you learned. Green Toad Painting Supplies
I am always looking for new ways to run a green household, but there are some areas where I didn't really think it was possible. You can't be green with paintbrushes, right? Well, actually you can and its all thanks to Green Toad. They have developed an amazing line of green products that are the perfect way to help spruce up your home.
I was sent a selection of Green Toad products to try out and I was really impressed with the quality and durability. The brushes and rollers and so soft, I almost hated to use them. But that is only the beginning of the advantages. They have made their brushes with a unique removable head so you can use the same handle with various size brushes. This creates less waste. In addition, the paintbrushes are also constructed of completely "green" materials - making it environmentally friendly. All plastic parts, including the handle, brush heads, bristles and most internal parts, have been treated with Earthgreen™ polymers, which makes them biodegradable, compostable, and recyclable.

Discovery Bay Games Spooky Tales Review & Giveaway
Spooky Tales is a unique game that not only teaches kids to use their imagination but also encourages them to practice their reading. It comes with several stacks of playing cards. The cards will provide you with the beginning and ending to your scary story. Then you have tons other cards with words, actions, adjectives and more. Some of them involve things like "mutant zombies" and some could be something simple like "little sister". The trick is to take those words and use them to continue the story with no break in the storyline. The game also comes with tokens that you can use to "steal" someones turn if they can't think of a good line or get stuck. Whoever uses up all their cards first, including their ending card will win the round.
My two older children have been playing this game almost every night since it arrived, even when I can't play with them. I have been amazed at the creative, spooky, and sometimes hilarious scenarios they have come up with. While they have gotten stuck on a few of the words, once I read it to them once they remember it. So in addition to providing a good time, this game is also enhancing their vocabulary. The game also comes with a cool flashlight that not only lights up but provides sound effects like screams and howls, which the kids and even the baby love playing with even when they aren't playing the game.
Spooky Tales is only one of dozens of amazing games you can find at Discovery Bay Games. They have challenging, funny, and original games for all ages, including adults. You can find their games online on Amazon and Drugstore.com as well at Toys R Us and Game Daze. If you are looking for some unique games to spice up your family game night, Discovery Bay Games is a great place to start looking.
One lucky winner is going to receive a copy of Spooky Tales for their own little monsters. To enter, you must visit Discovery Bay Games and tell me another game you would love to own. For additional entries you can do any of the following, but you must complete this initial entry first. Any entries that do not follow these guidelines will be deleted.

No- Bake Key Lime Cheesecake Bars Review & Giveaway
I an not a baker. I can't cook at all, which is the reason why I'm married to a chef. When it comes to cooking and baking, I pretty much always either burn it or under cook it, and I think a few times I somehow managed to do both at the same time. But Plentiful Pantry has developed a No-Bake Key Lime Cheesecake Bars that is so easy, even someone who is a disaster in the kitchen like I am can't help but get it right.
The No-Bake Key Lime Cheesecake Bars are simple to make. It comes with most of the ingredients you'll need. You just have to add water, cream cheese and butter. There is no cooking involved. You'll never have to turn on the oven. You just mix up all the ingredients and it creates a fluffy key lime cheese cake mix that will amaze anyone who tries it. Add to that the delicious oreo cookie crumb crust and you have a dessert to die for. You can serve it up to your guests and they will think you spent hours slaving away. No one needs to know just how easy it is.
The amazing Key Lime Cheesecake Bars are only one example of the easy to make products you can find at the Plentiful Pantry. They have dozens of tasty desserts as well as soups, salads and more. All of their products take a limited amount of preparation but still give you that gourmet taste you crave. Gift certificates are available and if you spend $70 or more you can get free shipping on your order. Right now you can also receive20% off the entire website until the 3/3/11 by using the code NEW20 at checkout.

Easter Gift Idea - 3D Coloring Dinosaur Art Books Review & Giveaway
My son loves dinosaurs. They are one of his favorite things. He also loves 3D movies. But one of the things he was starting to think he was too cool for was coloring books. Until he saw the ultra cool 3D coloring book from IColor3D. Suddenly, coloring is cool again because he can view his artwork in life like 3D, adding a whole new dimension to an old favorite.
We received one of the dinosaur coloring books to review and it was even more impressive in person than it was online. Each book comes with its own set of 3D glasses. Kids can color the pictures anyway they choose and really let their imagination take flight. Once they are done coloring, the 3D glasses really make the pictures pop out at you. My son thought it was amazing and he will never say that coloring is just for babies again.
The 3D coloring books come in four fun designs and are available at IColor3D for the low price of $5.99. They are perfect for kids of all ages, but are a great idea for children with ADD, ADHD, and Autism. The vivid 3D images will help these children focus and complete the task at hand. These fun books would also make an excellent addition to any Easter basket this upcoming Spring.
One lucky winner is going to receive a 3D coloring book of their own. To enter, visit IColor3D and tell me something you learned or another book you would love to have. For additional entries you can do any of the following, but you must complete this initial entry first. Any entries that do not follow these guidelines will be deleted.

If you're anything like me, you always have to have a candle burning in the house. A scented candle really helps to lighten the mood. A pleasant scent brightens up the house and the warm flame is relaxing. I always love trying new candle scents. They filled the whole house with their fragrance and even the next day the scent was lingering. The glass lovely containers they come in can be reused once the candle burns out for any number of things. These are candles that will give even the most popular brands a run for their money.

Pentip's Place Review & Giveaway
My oldest daughter has inherited my love of all things magical. She has a huge collection of fairies and unicorns all over her room. So it was a wonderful surprise last week when we received a beautiful hand made unicorn figure from Pentip's Place on the same day that my daughter donated her hair to Locks for Love. She fell in love with it immediately because like all the items in the shop they are infused with the magic and uniqueness you can only find on Etsy.
I was completely amazed at the detail of the unicorn figure we received to review. While its made completely by hand using simple materials like cloth and yarn, when you look at it, you will see its an intricate masterpiece. Our unicorn was white with blue accents. The mane is made from yarn, and the body is so well sown together, I couldn't even find any seams. It is enhanced with black beaded eyes and sparkling designs along the whole of its body. But the thing I find the most amazing about his piece is that they somehow manage to get the legs to move just like a plastic figure. But you should keep in mind that these amazing works of art are meant as decorations and are not going to hold up to rough play. Ours is proudly displayed on my daughter's dresser with her other unicorn collectibles.
The unicorns are only one example of so many beautiful, one of kind pieces you can find at Pentip's Place. They also have ponies and horses, Pegasuses, leopards and more. One of my favorites is the Griffin which looks so amazing and life like in the photos. In addition to the animal figures, you can also find some unique jewelry. If you are looking for a gift for a collection or maybe you have a horse lover if your life, this is a shop that will provide you with something truly unique.
One very lucky winner is going to win the beautiful pink Solvey Pony shown in the photo to the right. To enter this giveaway, please visit Pentip's Place and tell me another item you would love to have. For additional entries you can do any of the following, but you must complete this initial entry first. Any entries that do not follow these guidelines will be deleted.
