Uno Roboto "House Rules" Party

Uno has always been one of my family's favorite games. I remember playing with my mother and grandparents when I was as young as three or four. Today its a tradition I have been happy to share with my own children. In addition to being a fun game for all ages, its also a great way to teach children about colors, numbers, and matching. Even my toddler enjoys playing, and even though she needs a little help, she has learned all the colors and loves screaming out "UNO" when she gets to her last card.

Mattel is always looking for ways to take their games and add a modern twist, and they have definitely taken Uno to a whole new level with their most recent addition, Uno Roboto. My family was lucky enough to receive an Uno Roboto thanks to Mom Central, and we recently hosted our very own "House Rules" party. It was exciting way to spice up an old family favorite.

Uno Roboto comes with an adorable little robot that is there to help you enforce some very special house rules. You start out by having each player record their names, which plays back in a groovy robotic voice. My kids thought that was awesome, but were even more excited about creating their own house rules. During each game you can create your own house rules. Ours ranged from howling at the moon if you have to Draw 4 to kissing the player on your left on the nose if  you get a red card. Having these "house rules" adds a new dimension of fun to Family Game Night while still providing the same educational advantages.

If you would like to purchase Uno Roboto for your own family, it is available in stores nationwide. You can also order it online at the Mattel website for only $29.99. And make sure to check out this great offer from Mattel and Toys R US. Between now and the end of the year, if you order any select Mattel games from Toy R Us, you will receive a free Shutterfly Photo Book. To keep up with future promotions, be sure to follow Uno on face book.  No holiday will be complete without at least one Mattel game. This year, why not give Uno Roboto a try.

I wrote this review while participating in a campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of UNO Roboto and received a product sample to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.
