If you have a tween girl in your household, you are probably familiar with the hit Disney Series, "Shake It Up". Since its premiere in January 2011, it has quickly become one of the most popular shows for kids between the ages of six and fourteen. My daughter is eleven and she loves CeCe and Rocky and their funky dance moves. But what she loves even more than the hilarious scripts and the great music, is the girls' wardrobes. Every time we watch the show, she always exclaims, "I love Rocky's shirt!" or "Look how cute CeCe's outfit is!" I also like their original style, especially since they dress modestly and appropriately for their age. So of course both my daughter and I were excited to hear about the launch of a brand new line of Shake it Up clothing from Disney D-Signed that will be available at Target just in time for the back to school season.
For our review, were sent an adorable set that my daughter has already decided will be her outfit for her first day of fifth grade. The rocker shirt is pink with a cute little monkey design and is embellished with rhinestones and silver studs. The gray vest is built into the shirt so you don't have to worry about kids losing it at school, and it flares out on the sides. The black skirt has a nice elastic waist which is great for growing kids, and is the perfect length for a tween. Its doesn't show too much leg on little girls, but its not so long that its "dorky". You can get this set for less than $30, making it a fun and affordable choice. Plus these two pieces can be mixed and matched with lots of others in the D-Signed Shake It Up line.
