I like to keep journals. I keep a journal of my day to day life. I have a journal filled with my dreams. I even carry around a little journal at all times in case I think of a good line for one of my books. Because of my obsession with journals, I am always looking for unique and fancy note books to add to my collection. At
Mr. Ellie Pooh, I found a memo book that is by far the most unique I have received to date.What makes this book so unique? It is made in part from elephant pooh.
The fancy memo book I received to review is absolutely stunning. The cover is a 3D elephant design. The two elephants are walking along side a lovely lake. The journal is held shut by a piece of hemp string attached to an earth tone button. When you open the book you will find lovely parchment style paper in shades of pink, puples and tans. This book is so beautiful, it needs a truly special use. I will probably save it for my poetry or maybe even a special books of spells and charms that I have written myself.
Mr. Ellie Pooh is a fair trade company that takes the time to make their products with only natural, green, and recycled materials. Their paper products are 100% recycled. They are made of 50% fiber from elephant dung and 50% post consumer paper. They are working to train the local villagers how to make the paper in the hopes of helping to build respect and to help keep so many elephants from being killed. This is an amazing endeavor that provides the consumer with lovely eco-friendly products they can be proud to own.
