A few months back, I had posted about my daughter Gabby winning a $20,000 scholarship from Sears in their Back to School Contest. It was originally going to be presented as two $5,000 bonds that would be worth $20,000 when she graduated, but that proved more complicated that they had hoped. Instead they decided to send us a check for $10,000 cash which we can invest anyway we choose. I am very excited to share that the check just arrived yesterday. This is the biggest check anyone in my family every received, and Gabby was sure excited to get it. I have entered lots of contests on and off over the years, but this is definitely the best prize we ever received. Its definitely nice to know that my daughter will have this money as a head start in life. Thanks again to Sears and Dockers for making this a possibility!
