Ectropy Science Kit Review & Giveaway

 Do you have a child that loves science. Do they sneak out of their room at night and try to watch "NCIS" or "CSI" on TV? If they do, then the Ectropy Science Kit is just the right thing for them. This exciting and unique science kit is a hands on forensics set that enables your child to figure out who the culprit is in their very own mystery.

The kit we received was about a broken window. Cameras caught the culprit on film but it could be one of two identical twins. We were able to determine which of the two twins it was after completing three exciting experiments. In the first, we were able to test the dirt from the scene and compare to the dirt found in both of the twins shoes. We compared the textures and measured PH levels to come up with an analysis.  We than took a thread of cloth that was found at the scene and compared it to several samples. One of the twins is allergic to wool, so we knew that if the fiber from the crime scene was wool, he couldn't be the guilty party. And finally, we compared a finger print on the ball to each of the fingerprints of the kids. When it was all done, we knew exactly who had done it.

The box came we everything we needed for our experiments including, viles, samples, testing supplies and a magnifying glass. When we were all done with our experiments, we recorded our results online and found out that we were exactly right. We knew which twin had done it.  My kids had a wonderful time and learned a thing or two with this science kit. While I did supervise for review purposes, they were able to do all the experiments with little or no intervention.   I definitely plan or getting them more sets when their birthdays role around this summer.
