DS Backpack & Transformers DS Kit Review Giveaway (2 Winners)

As promised, I am featuring a few more of the great video game accessories offered by Performance Designed Products (PDP). This time they are for the DS, which both my kids have and love to carry around with them everywhere. The problem I've have with this is that they are always losing games and the game system itself gets banged around. PDP has given me several different solutions to these problems.

The first item we received for review is the DS Mini Pack Back. They come in four colors--blue, light blue, orange, and and white.  We received the light blue, and my daughter was the lucky recipient. She thought it was adorable and has been carrying it around with her everywhere she goes. She loves that its cool and trendy.

But here's what I love about it. It has lots of interior storage space. It fits not only the DS, but also multiple games. There is even a seperate netted pocket inside to store the games. The price for this cute item is only $16.99. Well worth it when I think of how many games the kids have lost over the years.

The second item we received for DS is the Transformers DS Kit. Boy, did my son go crazy when he saw this. He's a huge Transformers fan.  The kit comes with an official licensed Transformers Armour as well as a full size iconic stylus. Which is basically a really cool cover and one of the pens the kids use to play the games with.  The set is priced at $19.99.  You can choose between Megatron and Bumblebee.

We choose the Megatron case, which snaps into place easily over the DS and protects it from getting damaged if it gets dropped or banged. It also has a nifty little slot in the back where you can store two video games. The stylus is bigger than average, which hopefully means we won't lose it too quickly. I can't tell you how many of those things I've gone through. All in all, another great find I was honesly happy to test out.

Now on to the giveaway!  PDP has offered two prizes. One winner will receive the DS Backpack and one will receive the Transformers DS Kit (companies choice of style/color). To enter, please visit PDP and tell me another product you would like to try out. In addition please tell me which of the two items we're offering as the giveaway prizes you would prefer if you were the winner. I can't make any promises you'll get it, but we'll see what happens. This will be the ONLY entry option for this giveaway. The first winner I choose will get their first choice. The second winner will get the other item.

This giveaway will end at midnight on 3/19 and is open to the US only. The winner will be chosen via a random number generator. Thanks again to PDP for offering this great prize.

***Please note that I received no form of monetary compensation for this post. I did receive a sample of the product to try in order to write a fair and honest review. The opinions expressed are my own and have not been influenced in any way***

Energizer 2x Wii Induction Charger Review

The Wii was a big hit in my household. Everyone plays it, including the grown ups. But there was one thing I really hated about it. That was how quickly the batteries would get drained in the controllers. I felt like I was changing them at least once a week. But Performance Designed Products (PDP) has come up with the perfect solutuion to this annoying problem.
I received for review the Energizer 2x Wii Induction Charger, which I think is one of the best Wii accessories I have tried out to date. Its a steal at only $29.99 because it will save you hundreds of dollars on batteries in the long run. And its so simple to use.  It comes with two battery packs. You can take the backs off your controllers and the  battery packs snap in, replacing the original backs. Then you just lay them down on the charger and that's it. You'll know its working when you see the red light come on. Then you'll never have to buy batteries again. And you'll never run out of juice in the middle of a game!

If you're worried that your entertainment center is already too crowded and you'll never have room, you can stop worrying. The charger is thinner than a magazine. In the picure on the left, I have mine sitting right on top on the Wii. You can barely see its there, its so compact. So space won't be a problem. It will fit in easily to even the tightest spaces.

PDP has come up with a winner with this new item. Everyone who has a Wii should really have a  Energizer 2x Wii Induction Charger. And this is only one of the great products the company offers. Stay tuned for more reviews and giveaways sponsored by PDP coming to New Age Mama in the next day or two.

Charlie's Soap Review & Giveawy (6 Winners)

In my never ending search to find the best green products available, I have made another great discovery.  For cleaning and laundry, my new brand of choice is Charlie's Soap.  They have powdered and liquid laundry detergent as well as an amazing all purpose cleaner. They are completely biodegradable and safe for the enviroment.  They even have a money back guarantee so there's nothing to lose to give them a try.

I was lucky enough to receive all three of their products to try out.  The laundry detergents were both remarkable. I didn't really believe it when they said I wouldn't need fabric softener. Normally if I wash towels without it, they come out so stiff and uncomfortable. But with Charlie's Soap, they were soft and fresh with no heavy perfume scents. This is perfect for my new baby because her newborn skin is so sensitive. And when one bag lasts for 80 washes, its much more economical than the fancy brands adverstised for babies.

The All Purpose Cleaner was just as impressive. The botlle states that it cleans everything from false teeth to diesel engines. I didn't need to clean either of those things,  but I did have a ring of grime around my tub that even bleach didn't get off. But after scrubbing with Charlie's Soap, its pearly white and looks brand new again. It also cut right through bacon grease on my stove when cleaning up the kitchen. It even got out some old pet stains on the carpet. This is truly a remarkable product.

One lucky winner is going to receive a great prize pack from Charlie's Soap that includes a full size liquid and power detergent as well as the all purpose cleaner, all in a reusuable shopping bag. Five additional winners will receive a sample pack of powder detergent to try out.   To enter, please visit Charlie's Soap and tell me something that you learned or liked about the company. Please include your email address in every entry if it is not visible in your profile. Any entries that do not follow these guidelines will be deleted.

Perennial Toys Review & Giveaway

There are lots of toy choices out there. Buts its nice to find something that's safe, fun, and educational. Not to mention eco-friendly. That is exactly the kind of toys you'll find at Perennial Toys. Their toys will teach your child about endangered animals and their aquatic habitats. Each toy features beautiful Native American designs and literature, and a percentage of each purchase is donated to wildlife conservation efforts.

For my review, I was sent the  Narwhal Starter Set. It features the narwhal sponge, iceberg, a coloring book, collectible magnet, and Badger Balm, all housed in a reusable mesh zippper bag. My kids loved the little narwhal on his floating ice berg and have used it at bath time every day since they arrived. The iceberg really does float in the water, and the little stuffed Narwhal is not only fun to play with but he's a sponge that they can wash with as well. Afterwards, he can he tossed in the washer.  The coloring book is lots of fun too. There are adorable pictures to color and we learned all about the Narwhal. My daughter likes it so much, she brought it in to her science class to show her teacher.  You can get a sample of their coloring pages for free on the website.

One lucky winner is going to get a Narwhal Starter Set of their own. Jelly Bean Hair Pretties Review and Giveaway

I love all the handmade items you can find on Etsy. I especially love companies that offer products that are not only great for the enviroment, but also adorable for my baby.  Jelly Bean Diapers has a huge selection of cloth diapers in lots of color choices as well as some other great products like their flannel wipes, and their adorable hair accessories. I love these diapers because you don't have to worry about pins or trying to fold the diaper just right. Its all ready to go, just like a disposable diaper, except that these you can use again and again. They are also a lot easier on your wallet than the disposables.

I was lucky enough to get to review Jelly Bean's hair pretties. I received this adorable daisy headband.  I posted this picture of Willow on my facebook page a few days ago and you wouldn't believe how many comments I got on it.  Several of my friends who also have baby girls emailed me to ask where I got this adorable headband.  Even though my baby is  tiny, it  fit her perfectly. But it streches enough that she should still be able to use it when she's a todler. Its made from such nice soft material, it didn't even bother her that it was on her head.  You can tell by the fact that my three week old baby looks like she's posing that she loved the headband too:)

Jelly Bean Diapers has been nice enough to offer another Hair Prettie to one of my readers. The winner will get to choose the headband of their choice. To enter, please visit Jelly Bean Diapers and tell me your favorite item. For additional entries you can do any of the following, but your must complete this initial entry first. Tyler Trends Review & Discount Code

Tyler Trends is an amazing company for several reasons. First, because they make adorable organic clothing for children ages 0-6 in lots of cute designs and colors.  Second, because the founders of the company have two children born prematurely, one who  had severe complications. Instead of letting these complications drag them down, their children's battle for life inspired them to create a wonderful line of clothing.

For my review, I received the Monkey Long Sleeve Infant Shirt in 3-6 months. Its still just a little big for Willow, but we tried it on anyway. She looks so cute. The bright colors really bring out her eyes, and the little monkey is perfect because we've  been calling her our little monkey-LOL.  The material is soft and durable, and of course I love that its made from organic material.

I'm not the only one who has noticed Tyler Trends. They are currently being featured on Parents TV.  You can view the video on their home page. They also have some celebrity patrons, like Jennie Garth, who loves their Lady Bug Shirt for her daughter.  They have also been tested by Ecoscene, who gave them a glowing review.

If you want to get one of these adorable shirts for yourself, now would be a great time. They are currently having an amazing sale. Select items are up to 60% off.  And as if that's not enough, they are also offering New Age Mama readers an additional 15% percent off your purchase.   Just enter the code new15 at check out to receive the discount.  Head over now before you miss out on a great deal.

Fisher Price Rock N Play Sleeper Review

I was so excited when Mom Select choose my blog to review the Fisher Pricr Rock N Play Sleeper.  Fisher Price has always been one of my favorite brands for baby gear, and now they have come up with another great idea.  I'm not sure how I ever got along without my Rock N Play Sleepr, and I know that I'll never be able to go back to other baby seats again

When the Rock N Play Sleeper first arrived my husband rolled his eyes at me. He's is so tired of putting things together, and since we already have a swing, a playpen, a bassinet, and a bobby chair, he couldn't imagine why I could want to clutter up the living room with one more thing. But he grudgingly put in together for me, and had to admit that of all the baby things he's assembled in the last few months, this one was by far the easiest. The pieces snap together simply, there are no batteries, and it makes no noise!

And what do I love about it? Where do I start? First of all, this little chair sits up a lot higher than the bobby chairs. I have a dog and its just out of her reach. The baby lays down deep enough that there is no risk of her falling out, but its designed so that the newborn's little head doesn't bob all around. And for all the mom bloggers out there, its just the right height to have it next to your computer chair and reach over to soothe the baby without having to bend down. You can also keep it at the edge of your bed instead of a bassinet. It takes up less space, and you can rock it gently and it will  help your little one fall asleep.

My baby girl is just under four weeks old and she has been enjoying the Rock N Play Sleeper ever since it arrived. It really is perfect for newborns. If  you'd like to get a Rock N Play Sleeper for yourself, they are available at Fisher Price for only $50.   I would highly recommend them to any mom who has an infant. If you're a mom-to-be, make sure you add this to your registry. Its a purchase you'll never regret.

Stonz Booties Review

I have three children so I know how hard it normally is to find boots for babies and todlers. They're either too big and they fall or they're too tight and they cut the kids circulation off. But Stonz Wear has created a kind of bootie that offers the perfect fit every time while still keeping your little ones toes cozy and warm.

I received a pair of booties with the heart design for this review in size small.  They are still a little big for my newborn. I couldn't even get them to stay on her feet for a picture.  But by next winter when the snow starts to fall and she's actually walking around they will be just perfect for her. They are very easy to get on and off and have an adjustable strap that you can tighten to get the perfect fit. The interier of the boot is made of soft nylon that will keep feet warm. The exterior is made with waterproof nylon so they stay nice and dry.

In addition to booties, Stonz also has an adorable line of Hatz, Mittz that are also adjustable, and Linerz for the booties to keep little toes extra warm.  All of them come in adorable styles for both girls and boys. They are even machine washable.

If you want to snag a pair of booties for yourself, now would be a great time.  Stonz Wear is offering New Age Mama readers 10% off their entire order!  Just enter the code newagemama at check out to receive the discount. But hurry, this offer if only valid from Feb 24th – March 3rd. They also offer free shipping on orders over $50.  Check out their sale section for even more great deals.  To keep up with Stonz Wear for future sales, contests and other exciting news, follow them on twitter or become their fan on Face Book.  Stonz Wear is a great company that you'll definitely want to keep book marked.

Happy Green Bee Review & Giveaway

Organic clothes aren't very easy to find where I live. I can only get them online. But they are usually very expensive and are often just plain and blah.  But the adorable clothes at Happy Green Bee are both organic and colorful. Their bright designs are perfect for babies, todlers and kids.

For our review, we received the onesie in watermelon and sky. Its still a little big on my baby, but in another month it should fit her pefectly. I love the bright colors, and its so soft I know she will be nice and cozy in it.  Best of all, its handmade from organically grown cotton. And doesn't Willow look just adorable in it?

In addition to the onesies, Happy Green Bee also has sportswear, dresses,  and even gifts like their sweet little Abbee Doll, all of which are organic.  The company was recently featured on the Today Show. Skinny Dip Candle Review & Giveaway

Skinny Dip Candles has come up with a pretty unique idea. I never would have thought it was possible, but they have discovered a four-in-one candle. Its not just a candle. Its a body lotion. Its a massage oil. Its even a body balm. And with dozens of great scents to choose from, ranging from Ambrosia to Wedding Cake,  its just amazing.

For my review I received a candle in black raspberry vanilla. As soon as I smelled it, I was brought back to my childhood.  It smelled just like my old strawberry shortcake miniatures.  When lit, it filled the whole house with its sweet frangrance.  Once I blew it out and it cooled, I tried it out as a massage oil, and it worked wonders. It leaves skin petal soft and smelling great. The warmth is very conforting, especially in the heart of the winter.  I also tried it as a boby balm before I burned it, and that was just as nice.

In addition to the candle, I also got to try out their black raspberry vanilla bath salts and their Huckleberry Lip Balm.  The bath salts were a refreshing treat after a long day. The lip balm goes on smooth, lasts for hours and tastes great!  If you want to try these awesome products for yourself, right now would be a great time. If you purchase three candles, you will receive a lip balm absolutely free.

One lucky reader is going to get a Skinny Dip Candle of their own. To enter, please visit Skinny Dip Candles and tell me which scent you would choose if you were the lucky winner.
