Flu season is in full swing, and I don't know about you, but I'm willing to give anything a try when it comes to preventing a house full of sick kids. When my two older kids were babies, they never got sick. But now that they are in school, it seems like they catch something at least once a month. And what's worse is they are bringing it home and getting the baby sick. And every time she gets a cold, it develops into the croup, which is pretty scary. So when I had the chance to try out Xigo Immune Defense, I jumped at the chance. I am always looking for ways to build at my kids immunity.
Xigo is available for both children and adults and we got to try out both. It is designed to work with the immune system to defend against bacteria and viruses. I was glad to see that the adult version came in chewable tablets. I have never been very good at swallowing pills, so this is a definite plus in my eyes. The orange flavor is tolerable, but certainly doesn't taste like candy. My kids were a little less impressed with the berry flavored kids variety. I have to stand over them and watch them chew it up and swallow it, but its worth the effort because since using it for a few weeks, no one in our household has gotten sick. So taste aside, I would definitely recommend Xigo.
One lucky reader if going to get to try Xigo for themselves. The winner will receive both the children's and the adult varieties. To enter, just visit Xigo Health and tell me something you learned. For additional entries you can become a fan of Xigo on face book or follow them on twitter. This giveaway is open to the US only and will end on 1/7/10.

I learned that the immune system protects in three ways. It helps: detect a challenge; defend your body against the challenge; and deter repeat offenders. XIGO's patent-pending, triple-action formula provides vital nutritional support for each of these three essential functions.

Chewable tablets dissolve in the mouth, directing nutrients directly to the tissues lining the throat and mouth. This is the body’s first line of defense. From there, immune cells disperse Xigo’s nutritional support throughout the entire body for a complete immune response.

I learned "Immune products should work with the body’s natural ability to defend itself against immune challenges." Sounds good!
