Abbie is a eleven year old girl, who is very much like my own daughter. She has to work hard in school, has to deal with a mean teacher, and has tons of homework. But that is only the beginning of Abbie's worries. She also has a big secret that she has to keep from her best friend. She's a witch from a long line of witches. And on top of the every day problems of adolescence, she also has to worry that her brother will morph into a werewolf and eat his teacher and try to figure out how to get a famous young inventor back to his own time before the future is changed forever. Even stranger, this inventor comes to her in the form of a little black kitten.
The Witchy Worries of Abbie Adams is a wonderful book for tweens. The characters are very relatable but the element of magic makes it an exciting, edge of the seat read. Rhonda Hayter, the author of the novel has worked as an actress and story analyst so she has a great background to enhance her imagination. This really comes through in her writing. My daughter really enjoyed this book and and had it finished in just one day.
