Mad Science KNOW Magazine Blog Tour
As a mom, I am always looking for ways to encourage my kids to read. My daughter loves books, but with my son its a little more difficult to get him to read. He likes pictures. They are the only thing that grabs his attention. But the older he gets, the less pictures there are in his books. So I discovered one great way to get him to read is with magazines. One of the best magazine that I have found for children is KNOW Magazine. There are lots of colorful pictures but also fun and educational articles that teach children about the world we live in.
KNOW Magazine primarily focuses on science and is designed for children ages 6-9. Your children will find articles on various wild life, astronomy, fossils, plant life and more. You'll also find simple and fun experiments and crafts that kids can do on their own or with a little supervision. The photography is amazing and will really get kids excited. I know as soon as my son saw the picture of the see through frog in the sample issue, he had to read the article to learn more about this amazing animal. Each article is written at a level that kids around 6 and up will be able to easily understand. But its also captivating enough to hold the attention of their parents too!
If you would like to learn more about KNOW Magazine, you can visit their website. You can also view a sample issue to get an idea of what its all about by clicking here. You can order a subscription for only $24.95. If your kids are a little older, check out YES Magazine for the same kind of learning experience written for a more mature audience. In addition to their magazines, you will also find gifts packs and t-shirts that you can order which will make wonderful gifts. Check them out today, and start your child off on an exciting journey into the world of science.
I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Mad Science and received the products necessary to facilitate my review. In addition, I received a gift certificate to thank me for taking the time to participate
