The Little Environmentalists .Review & Giveaway

The New Age Mama household does everything we can to be green. We use cloth diapers. We recycle. And we get involved with community clean ups. I want my children to know from an early age how important it is to make care of our planet and to really appreciate the beauty of nature. One great way to do that is with the books available at The Little Environmentalists.

We received two of the wonderful books from The Little Environmentalists to review. The first is "Go Green with Me". This fun book is filled with rhymes and colorful pictures that will grab a child's attention. But each page also teaches them the little things they can do to help preserve our natural resources. It talks about recycling, turning off lights and water, and buying organic. These are all things I already try to get my kids to do, and they often roll their eyes at me. But this book is making it seem more like a game than a chore, and is really encouraging them to do it.

The second book we reviewed is "Nature Discovery". This book will get your children exploring their own back yard in search of butterflies, animals, and even flowers. The story takes you on an adventure in your own back yard, and each page lists the different types of creatures you might encounter.  Its a fun story with real pictures of children as well as some cute illustrations that kids are sure to love.

The stories are wonderful and educational, but what I like best about The Little Environmentalist is that they give back. One dollar of every purchase goes to the National Wildlife Federation. Buying their books is a great way to teach your children about the environment, while helping it at the same time. What more can you ask for?  Well, how about a giveaway?
