Summer Birthday Bash! USAopoly Review
Family game night is an important part of our week. Its a time when everything slows down for a few hours. For a little while, we don't have to worry about work or chores, homework or sports. We can just be a family spending some quality time together. I am always looking for new games to keep our family night interesting. One great way to do this, is to give some old games a new twist. At USAopoly, you can find dozens of versions of old favorites like Monopoly and Life that are fun to collect as well as play.
One of the games we were sent for our review was The Wizard of Oz Monopoly. We had so much fun playing this game. From choosing a cute pewter token to traveling around the board visiting all our favorite spots in the movie. You'll get to stop by the yellow brick road, the witch's castle, and even Home Sweet Home. One of the other interesting features was the "railroads" which were replaced with the four items the comrades were searching for--a heart, a brain, courage, and a home. Its amazing how they are able to tie the movie into the game and still keep the basic rules intact.
Next, we were able to check out the Super Mario Brothers Chess. Chess is a great game to help with brain development which is so important when children are still young. I've tried teaching my son chess with regular pieces a few times, but he thought it was boring. But now when he gets to play with exciting characters he knows and loves like Bowser, Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach, he can't wait to play. The pieces themselves are adorable plastic miniatures. When we're done playing chess, he can use them to play lots of other imaginative games.
Last, but certainly not least, we received one of the USAopoly staffs' favorites. Teletrastions is a fun game of drawing and guessing. Unlike some drawing games, everyone gets to play the whole time. Each player draws a picture and then the booklets get passed around so everyone can guess. The outcome is surprising, fun, and get everyone laughing. Since the game is designed for ages 13 and up, it was a little difficult for my children, but its perfect for older kids and even adults. What I thought was really unique was the erasable sketch pads which can be used over and over again. It creates less waste and saves you money since you won't have to buy refills.
These are only a few examples of the exciting game selections available at USAopoly. They have tons movie and sports themed versions of games like Monopoly, Yatzee, Operation, and Clue as well as other unique items like John Wayne Playing Cards or a Beatles puzzle. They are a great place to find fun and unique gifts that whole families will treasure. To learn more about USAopoly and all they have to offer, visit their website.
