Green Virgin Products Review & Giveaway & FREE SAMPLES!

Green Virgin is a company that makes only the best green and natural products. I was so excited to be able to try out several of the things they offer. First, they make a very unique kind of deodorant that is made from 100% mineral salts. My oldest daughter just started to need deodorant this year, which was kind of a surprise to me since she is only ten. But trust me...she needed it. I didn't want to use something with a lot of chemicals since she is so young. The Green Virgin deodorant is perfect for her. It doesn't burn her skin like other brands did, its completely safe, and best of all, with normal use one stick can last up to a  year. But in case you're wondering, it does work wonderfully for grownups too:)

The next thing we tried out were their stainless steel bottles. I wasn't sure that my baby was going to like them because they are kind of oddly shaped. But it turned out they they were much easier for her to grip than other bottles. Because they are made from stainless steel, they will hold up much longer than plastic bottles. They are dishwasher safe and have a life time guarantee. Which is great because when your baby outgrows bottles it can convert to a sippy cup and then just a regular water bottle.  If you use the insulted wrap with them, it will keep things warmer or cooler for even longer.

Last, but certainly not least, I got to try out the Soap Nuts. I had heard about these before, but even though I love green products, I couldn't imagine that a nut could get my clothes clean. Boy, was I wrong! These things are amazing! Just put four or five of them in a hemp bag, toss them in the wash and you have clean and soft clothes. You won't even need to use fabric softener.  For some tougher stains, like baby food, I found I still needed to use a stain stick. But I have to do this with regular detergent too. You can reuse the nuts several times before all the soap is out of them. One bag will for last for more than 80 loads. And since these are 100% all natural nuts that are grown on trees, of course there is no ill effects for the environment.

The folks at Green Virgin Products are so awesome! They want all my readers to get the chance to try out their amazing soaps nuts! If you would like a free sample to try out, just go to their website and sign up for their newsletter (bottom of the page). Then send them an email saying that signed up and that New Age Mama sent you over for a free sample.  Make sure to include your mailing address. If you have already received a sample from another blog, please don't ask again. Lets make sure everyone who is interested get a chance to try it.

As if that is not generous enough, one lucky reader is going to receive a full size bag of soap nuts! To enter, please visit Green Virgin and tell me something you learned. What is a soap nut?

Soap Nuts are the fruit of the Chinese Soap Berry Tree. These amazing berries are harvested and then dried in the sun. No chemicals of any kind are added to our soap nuts. Laundry detergent with heavy chemicals is replaced with something all natural and totally organic. The soap nut contains a natural soap called saponin. Saponin has cleaning abilities equal to toxic chemical detergents. Soap Nuts are extremely hypo-allergenic and can be used by people who are allergic to all other detergents. They are completely green and don't pollute our planet. Soap Nuts go by many names, such as soap berries, wash berries, wash nuts, Ritha, Reetha, Aritha, Dodan, Doadni, Doda, Kanma, Thali
