Honest Kid Drink Pouch Review

You might already be familiar with Honest Tea. They make tons of different teas, from black to jasmine. They even make tea bags. But did you know that they also offer portable pouches for your kids? My kids are pretty finicky. Getting them to drink plain water is next to impossible, and they even turn up their noses at  most of the juices I purchase. The only ones they like are usually the ones with the most artificial ingredients. When our Honet Kid pouches arrived, I tried one first (the grape juice) before the kids got home from school. I was impressed right away because it tasted so good but wasn't overly sweet like so many kids juices.  But I thought the fact that they weren't too sweet might be their downfall when it came to my kids.  I was pleasantly surprised. They grabbed up the pouches as soon as they saw them, and before I could even ask them what they thought, they had each sucked one down and were asking for seconds. They didn't ask if they were organic or good for them and I didn't offer the information. They were jsut happy to have a tasty drink in a fun little pouch.

Now let's talk about the pouch for a second. When I first sat down to write this review, the one negative thing I was going to mention was that the pouches aren't made of biodegrablable materials. But then I saw the section of the website called the Drink Brigade. Here they explain how you can send in your old pouches and they turn them into fashion bags. They even provide the postage for you to mail them in.  As most of my readers already know, New Age Mama loves a company that knows how to reduce and reuse.  And as an added bonus, you can collect points from your pouches which can be used towards gift certificates, school supplies, toys and more.
