Cover Your Hair Review and Giveaway

I love looking for fun hair accessories, especially for my daughter. The best place online to find a huge selection of hair ties, hats, bandanas, head bands, hats and more is Cover Your Hair.  I just love the cute knitted pull on cap I received your my daughter. Its pink so it matches most of her wardrobe. Its warm enough to wear outside but stylish enough to keep on indoors as well if you want to. I also received an All Around Wide Pre Tied Head Band.  This is so comfortable and light weight you won't even feel it.  Some headbands are too tight and give me a headache, but this one is super comfortable. But what I love the most is that its covering up the part of my hair that's strarting to show some gray. I can't color my hair right now because I'm expecting so this is a definite plus. Its great for a casual night on the town or to keep your hair out of your face when you cleaning up the house.

Natural Elements Online-Hawaiian Bath & Body Products Review

In the midst of  winter, in the darkest days of the year, it's great to find a little something special that brings a taste of the summer sun into your life. For my review, I received this adorable Passion Fruit Travel Bag.  The first thing I tried was the Mango Coconut Shampoo and Conditioner. As soon as I popped open the cap and smelled the intoxicating scent, I felt like I was transported to a warm, sunny beach with my toes in the sand and the crashing waves in the background.  But even better than that, it left my hair feeling soft and smelling great. My hair tangles easily because its very fine, but with this shampoo I was able to comb it easily when I was finished washing.  Using the lotions after the shower was an extra special treat. It leaves behind no greasy residue like some lotions and smells so good you'll  be tempted to eat it.  The Hawaiin Sunrise and Island Passion lip balms were also great. They are long lasting even though their flavors make you want to constantly lick your lips.

In addition to the sample pack, I was also sent the Surfers's Salve to try out. This is great to soothe sunburns, dry skin, bug bites, chapped lips and minor rashes. My son had terrible chapped lips from playing outside in the snow so I tried it out on him. Within 24 hours his lips were healed! I live at the Jershey Shore and we spend a lot of time on the beach in the summer so I can't wait to try this out on sunburns too.

It is important to me that the things I use for my children are natural and safe. My nine year old daughter is really starting to get girly this year and she loves to paint her nails. Baby First Steps for Wii Review

My daughter loves interactive games. She has a few dozen that involve taking care of different animals, but My Baby First Steps for Wii is the first game she received that is teaching her how to take care of a real baby. Something she needs since she's going to be a big sister again very soon.

You start off the game by designing your own baby. My daughter made the baby in the picture to the left. She named her Willow after her soon to be born little sister and made her look the way she thinks the real baby will look.  Once you've designed your character, you can  teach him/her all kinds of different things, from walking to talking. You get to take photos of your baby and send them to grandma, who in exchange sends you lots of nice gifts. As you progress in the game you unlock more rooms and can move on to more fun activities like feeding your baby, washing her, and putting her to bed.

I've never really gotten past the original Mario Brothers when it comes to video games, but this one was easy enough to follow that even I could play. And the babies are just so cute that I actually enjoyed it. My nine year old daughter had no trouble getting started, and while some things are more challenging than others, nothing was too hard for her to handle. I think this game is perfect for girls in her age group.

Baby Bonanza! Homestead Review and Giveaway

I'm always looking for great skincare products that are made with natural ingredients. This is especially hard since I suffer from  eczema in the winter months.  If you're looking for the same thing, then look no further than The Homstead Company.  They have an amazing selection of products ranging from body butters to Diaper Rash Oil.  They specialize in products designed to help people with conditions like dry skin, rashes, weight problems, allergies, and other common illnesses.

The Baby Wipes Companion, on the other hand, comes in a light orange eucalyptus scent that I found quite pleasant but not overpowering. And the Baby Balm goes on the skin smoothly and doesn't leave any sticky residue. Overall, I was very impressed with all three and will definitely want to use them for my baby when she is born.

Fruit 2 O Essentials Review and Giveaway

Like most moms, I'm always looking for a healthy drink for my kids that they will actually want to drink. They would drink nothing but soda if I let them, and they act like its the end of the world if I try to get them to drink water. Family Folktales Book Review and Giveaway

The thing I remember the most about my grandmother is all the stories she would tell about our family. My great uncles were hit men for Al Capone and nothing scared them, except the headless ghost that lived in their mother's house.   Then there was my great great uncle who was a priest in Italy in the late eighteen hundreds. One of the members of his congregation shot him on the alter when she found out she wasn't his only lover.  I always wanted to find a way to preserve stories like these so I could pass  down our colorful family history to my children.  Family Folktales by Karen Gonzalez has helped to start me out on that journey.
