I really hate trying to shop for clothes for myself in the stores. Its impossible to try things on when I have three kids with me. The two older ones are fighting, the baby is screaming. Yum Yum Candles Review & Giveaway

There is nothing like a candle to lift your spirits and brighten your day. A scented candle can spice up your day or set the mood. I love scented candles, and I always have one burning in my house.  Whether its seasonal scents or everyday fruits and flowers, there is just something wonderful about a candle. Stinky Boyz Review

Anyone with a little boy knows that is not always easy to get them to take a shower. My son's new trick is to jump in and out of the shower in 30 seconds. I know he doesn't have time to really get clean that fast. But he is so afraid he might miss a few seconds of play time, he doesn't want to spend time in the shower. Well now, thanks to Stinky Boyz, I don't have to fight with my son to take a shower the right way. Thanks to their fun new products, he can't wait to jump in the shower.

For our review, we received one of the Stinky Boyz Hair and Body Wash Combos. What makes this product unique is the fun shapes. They come in shapes like soccer balls, basketballs, footballs and other sport themes that really appeal to young boys and even tween boys. The ball shaped hair and body wash we received makes it easy to wash his whole body and hair in one simple step. The smell of the soap is fresh and masculine without being overpowering.  It lathers nicely and does not leave behind any sticky residue. It has a plastic handle that, once the soap is gone, can be used as a bracelet. My son thought it was really cool and couldn't wait to try it out.

Like Dandelion Dust DVD Review

 Get out the tissue box. "Like Dandelion Dust" is one of those movies that will have you teary eyed from beginning to end. It brings together an all star cast including Mira Sorvino, Barry Pepper, and Cole Hauser. It tells the story of the unconditional love of parents, and the things that we would all sacrifice to keep the child we love safe and loved.

In "Like Dandelion Dust" a six year old boy named Joey finds himself torn between the adoptive parents who have raised him since birth, and the biological parents that are trying to get him back due to a technical glitch in the original adoption papers.  Through out the movie, I found myself relating to both sets of parents. The biological family is poor and the father has a  history of abuse. But you can see how hard he is trying to change and give the son he always wanted the life he deserves. Its only when the adoptive parents confront him with a terrible offer that he loses his self control and goes back to the bottle. The adoptive parents have everything they ever wanted, but all their money can't save them from losing the son they adore. They will do anything to keep him, even if it means running for their lives.

With each and every scene, I found myself sniffing. As a mother myself, I can't imagine the pain of having your child taken from you or having to give him up to keep him safe. The actors bring to life this amazing drama with warmth and heart felt emotion. Its a movie you definitely won't want to miss.  It will teach you the true meaning of love and sacrifice.

The Agatha Christie Hour Set 2 DVD Review

I have always been a fan of Agatha Christie. I have read many of her books, even though they would probably be considered "before my time". Most of the copies I have are yellowed with age, but a good story is timeless and Agatha Christie is a writer for all generations. But one thing I didn't know until recently is that she also had her own television series. Only the British could find a way to take a classic mystery novel and turn it into an equally entertaining mini series. And that is exactly what they've done with the Agatha Christie Hour as seen on PBS.

I was lucky enough to receive a copy of The Agatha Christie Hour Set 2 to review.  The discs contain five stories that feature some of Christie's lesser known protagonists. They will find themselves caught up in false accusations, love affairs and questionable motives that all inevitably lead to murder.  The five episodes included are as follows:

1)Magnolia Blossom - This is the story an unhappy wife who is trying to escape her marriage. You will find yourself really relating to the wife, and you may even want to forgive her if she is the guilty party.

2) The Mystery of the Blue Jar - This one is about a young man who consults an expert on the paranormal. Having always had an interest in this field myself, this one was definitely my favorite. It will leave you wondering is the supernatural really could be real.
