Rapid Relief ™ Electronic Pain Relief Pad Brings Convenient, Portable TENS Treatment to Drug Stores

Over-the-Counter, Wireless TENS Device Stops Pain Without a Prescription; Now Available in Drug Store Pain Relief Aisles Nationwide

Do sore muscles slow you down or, worse, stop you in your tracks?  Are you frustrated by not being able to do the things you love?  Don't be a prisoner to your pain!  HoMedics, innovative leader in self-care, wellness and personal health products, has introduced the Rapid Relief Electronic Pain Relief Pad — a wireless Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) device that helps block the nerve pathway from transmitting pain signals from sore and aching muscles.

Rapid Relief is an over-the-counter, wireless TENS device now available in the pain relief aisle at Walgreens and CVS stores nationwide (coming to Walmart in September).  Rapid Relief is available online at Amazon.com and RapidReliefPad.com. Offering the latest in 21st Century pain relief, Rapid Relief uses clinically-proven technology to deliver targeted, effective and safe pain relief for the lower back, arms and/or legs.  Rapid Relief works by emitting controlled micro-electronic currents, called impulses, through the skin to block the nerves from transmitting pain signals to the body’s pain center providing fast, effective relief for aches and pains.

“For years, doctors, physical therapists and athletes have been using TENS devices to treat pain,” said Brian Elsemore, PT, MS, who has practiced as a registered physical therapist for a decade in Florida and New England.  “Rapid Relief stops the pain at the source, so pain sufferers can live their life.  It’s as simple to use as ‘apply where it hurts,’ with no drugs, no shots, no wires, and no worries about messy applications.”

Rapid Relief Electronic Pain Pad is available in two models: one specifically calibrated to deliver quick relief to the lower back and another to deliver relief to the arms and/or legs with each offering 15 levels of adjustable intensity.  Each Rapid Relief Electronic Pain Pad includes one device, one CR2032 lithium battery, one set of self-adhesive Gels good for up to 50 treatments, and a travel storage case with instructions to optimize usage.  The Rapid Relief Electronic Pain Pad retails for $29.99.  Two sets of replacement Rapid Relief Gels, sold separately, cost $9.99.

The replaceable battery and Rapid Relief Gels are good for up to 50 (20-minute) treatments, making Rapid Relief one of the lowest cost-per-use options in the pain relief aisle and a valuable addition to an individual’s pain treatment regimen.

TENS products have previously been sold behind the pharmacists’ counter or in medical supply stores, often requiring a doctor’s prescription. Prior to the introduction of Rapid Relief Electronic Pain Pad, traditional TENS products could be challenging to use due to large control units and unwieldy wires.

“Rapid Relief is incredibly easy to use and compact enough for pain sufferers to wear under their clothing, discreetly treating pain on-the-go, whenever it is needed,” said Elsemore. “I have used it personally and recommend it to my patients, family and friends as a safe and effective new addition to their pain treatment regimen.”

OUR THOUGHTS
My mother in law has a prescription TENS unit, which my husband occasionally uses for various muscle pains.  It's a fairly large unit that is most easily used at home, just due to its size.  Right now he's dealing with a sore lower back due to one of his sacroiliac joints, which is causing a lot of muscle tension.  And with a 70 mile group bike ride coming up, he needs that pain gone!

The Rapid Relief Electronic Pain Pad is a nice little portable unit that you can just stick right on the skin and the whole slim little unit stays in place - no wires, no gel to mess around with.  You could, of course, just sit and let the Rapid Relief Electronic Pain Pad do it's thing, but with it's easy portability, you are free to move around as you like and not be tied to a free-standing unit. And it's such a slim little unit, it is discreet under clothing.

My husband has been enjoying using the Rapid Relief Electronic Pain pad for the relief it gives, the slim little carrying case, and the replaceable gel pads.  He said the only difficult part was once applied to the lower back, you have to remember which side has the + and which has the - to adjust the levels, because you can't see them back there. ;-)

The gel pads are good for up to 50 - 20 minute sessions.  You can get a set of two replacement pads for $9.99.  Easy and cheap pain relief!

  2. After being on a shittastic accident, I was going to rehab 3 days/week. Some improvements, but was progressing slowly.
Found this at Walgreens, and honestly, took awhile before buying one.

But once we did get it, MASSIVE improvement in about 2 weeks.
