From the makers of Hinterland comes “a compelling blend of police procedural, serial-killer thriller, and dark mystery” (DigitalSpy.com) set in the beautiful but foreboding mountains of northern Wales. After years away from her isolated hometown, DI Cadi John (Reese-Williams) returns to help her sisters care for their ailing father. Paired with the capable but overloaded DS Owen Vaughan (Sion Alun Davies, 35 Diwrnod), she soon begins investigating a young woman’s suspicious drowning. With bruises on the victim indicating that she was shackled before her death, Cadi realizes that someone is abducting women and holding them captive. When another girl goes missing, the detectives rush to apprehend the culprit before she becomes his next casualty.
Through interweaving narratives, this Welsh noir exposes the brutal secrets that lie beneath the surface of small-town life. “A sharp twist on your typical crime thriller” (DigitalSpy.com), Hidden also stars Rhodri Meilir (My Family), Gwyneth Keyworth(Doctor Thorne, Case Histories), Gillian Elisa (Stella, A Mind to Kill), and Ian Saynor (Doctor Who).

My Thoughts
Hidden is an exciting new crime drama series set in Wales. It's about a serial killer and takes you on a thrilling ride where you get to see both sides of the case--the cops and the killer. Cadi comes back to her hometown to help take care for her father, and partners up with Owen. Her first case is a drowning, but she suspects there is more to it than there seems which sets her on the trail of a serial killer. This first season includes eight exciting episodes.
1 - Cadi investigates a drowning, but there are signs she's been held captive. They discover she was a troubled young girl who disappeared years earlier named Mali.
2 - Dylan's mom gets to him and he gets obsessed with a nurse. Mali's boyfriend becomes a suspect.
3- Cadi gets in a fight with her sister about her dad. Lowri tells the police about her attack and they question her boyfriend.
4- Dylan brings home a girl named Megan he hit with his truck. His mom tells him to get rid of her.
5- Cadi is tracking Dylan. A visitor might discover Dylan's secret.
6 - Dylan lets Megan out of her shackles. Cadi interviews an inmate who might have info about her case.
7- When Megan is reported missing, Cadi makes the connection to her case. Dylan's daughter tries to help Megan escape.
8 - Megan gets away and the cops search Dylan's home, but he's vanished. Cadi sets out to bring Dylan to justice.
I really enjoyed this new series. I always love to see a woman taking on the villains, and i love the beautiful setting in Wales. I can't wait to see what happens in the second season. If you'd like to grab a copy of this exciting series for yourself, it's available in stores nationwide and online at Amazon.
