THE BEST TASTING FISH OIL!
Love the Flavour, Live the Benefits.
With
kids headed back to school, it’s more important than ever to support their
healthy development to ensure they have every advantage in school!
One of the most overlooked aspects of brain development is the effect of
Omega-3’s on a child’s brain. A recent study shows the significant impact of omega-3 DHA
in relation to a child's vocabulary and comprehensive testing. Early intake of
omega-3 supplements will benefit your child's cognitive learning and may
increase intelligence in their pre-school and school-aged years.
Wildly Delicious!
Fish oils have come a long way from the days of taking rancid-tasting cod liver oil by the teaspoon. The clean, pure taste of SeaLicious Icelandic fish oil in all-natural Tangerine Lime, Raspberry Lemonade and Tropical Colada is so delicious you won't believe it's fish oil.
ASTA-GUARD protects your cells and keeps your fish oil "just-caught" fresh!
Asta-Guard helps to protect our body's cells from toxic damage while preserve and protecting SeaLicious from light, air and heat, ensuring the last teaspoon is as fresh and delicious as the first. Astaxanthins are nature's most potent antioxidant. Known as "the antioxidant you can see," astaxanthins give the red color to salmon and cooked shellfish and are 130x more potent than Vitamin C, making them the antioxidant everyone should take!
Karlene Karst, a mother, Registered Dietician and five-time published author on
“Healthy Fats,” believes so strongly in the power of Omega-3’s that she
developed her own line called Sea-Licious, which she give to her two young boys every
day!
To help other parents, Karlene has outlined 7 steps parents can take to
help build smarter kids by incorporating Omega-3’s into their everyday lives.
7 Steps to a Smarter Kid:
- Supplement each day with ½ tsp. of pure Omega-3 oils. Sea-Licious is one of the tastiest and most powerful options on the market.
- After age 1, begin to incorporate nut butters such as almond and sunflower as a way to increase healthy omega-3s. Nut butters can be spread on brown rice cakes, pita bread or sprouted grain bread for a delicious breakfast or snack.
- Incorporate ground flaxseeds, chia and pumpkin seeds into baked goods such as muffins, loafs and cookies. They can even be added to soups and stews for additional fiber, protein and of course healthy fat.
- Greek yogurt—such a delicious, healthy snack! You can incorporate Sea-Licious right into the yogurt if your child doesn’t want to take their omega-3 oil on its own.
- Smoothies—this is one of the easiest and delicious ways to pack a ton of nutrients into your child’s diet. As a base use organic milk or a dairy alternative such as rice, or almond milk. Load the smoothie up with spinach, berries, and add a banana for sweetness. You can also add the chia/flaxseeds as well as Sea-Licious right into the blender!
- Serve fish such as halibut and salmon. There are many delicious ways to prepare it. Make it flavorful and your kids will love it!
- Be your child’s role Model—they will do what you do! If you are taking your Omega-3’s, so will your children! If you eat healthy, so will your children!

Breakfast Tips” for kids!

back-to-school Season!
The new school year is upon us and this could only mean one thing
– let the busy schedules begin! In order to start each morning off on the right
foot, they say a healthy, balanced breakfast is crucial for keeping both you
and your kids energized and active throughout the day. A recent study presented
at the Learning Connection Summit demonstrated that brain scans of children who
eat breakfast show more activity than scans of children who skip breakfast. But
between juggling the morning shenanigans, it’s not a simple task to get the
kids to the breakfast table before it’s time to rush out the door. So the
question is; how do you do it? How do you ensure your child’s breakfast is
quick and easy enough to not slave over the kitchen in the morning, yet
nutritious and satisfying enough to last them until the school bell rings?

Our Thoughts
My son's digestive system is a mystery! We've been able to figure out a lot of it but it's still a work in progress. A few months ago, his nurse practitioner suggested fish oil supplements to us as a possible way to help him better metabolize his fats, so we gave them a try. They smelled like fish and he did not object to the taste . . . but they also came out the other end smelling horribly like fish (not in any way a good smell!!) and ruined 3 of his cloth diapers. Thankfully those were old ones in need of replacement!
However, I still wanted him to have the benefits of fish oil supplements. Antioxidants are reported to help with the long term effects of his genetic conditions as well, so when the offer to review SeaLicious came thru, I took it!
We received the Raspberry Lemonade flavor to try and it smelled fantastic upon opening the bottle. I know that smell can be deceiving, so I tried it myself before giving it to my son. They are not kidding. This stuff does not in any way, shape, or form smell or taste ANYTHING like fish! The taste is light and very pleasant! (It's sweetened with monk fruit.) LOL, in fact it is SO tasty that I can see why you'd want to add it to recipes, or create salad dressings with it! My mom was over the other day and I gave her some to try, too. She loved it! SeaLicious is SO tasty, I have been tempted (although I have managed to restrain myself ;-) ) to drink it straight from the bottle!
SeaLicious is available online and in stores across Canada. I'm very glad it's available online, since we are in the US! SeaLicious will definitely remain part of my son's supplement regimen.
Oh, and as an added bonus - it passed the cloth diaper test! ;-)
